Can't issue move command
Hi, so, I'm trying to figure out how to play and I'm opening up the boot camp campaign, and on the very first map I have a few units and so on and so forth, you know what it looks like.

I click on a unit and I don't see any way to move it. I've looked up gameplay and tutorials and everyone else when they are playing they can move units, but when I click on them, it just selects them and moving my mouse anywhere does nothing, clicking only selects anything else. Is this because I'm using a laptop trackpad? I'm very confused.

You click on the unit then click the location to move too. It is all done via Mouse clicks. There are options to use 1 and 2 button mice. SO you may need to either left click or right click depending on the settings you have. ( think the default is 2 button you can check what it is in the settings option.

Yeah, I click on the unit then click on another tile and nothing happens. The screen doesn't really change to indicate where it can move to, either. The unit has that white border to indicate that I've selected it but that's it. If I click on any other tile it just selects that tile. 2nd Mouse button no difference either.

Have your tried to play with an external mouse? When you click an unmoved unit, the game highlights the hexes where you can move and there's also a white arrow showing the route it takes (see image below). You don't have that?

Yeah, no white arrow, the only thing that's highlighted is the unit I click.

Okay, the game seems to have problems with your hardware. I'd try an external mouse first if only because it'd be an easy way out.

You sure you're not in the deployment phase?

I'll try that when I have a chance. I'll also try it on my desktop computer and see if thats any different

Itll suck if its just that this is some strange thing with my laptop since the whole reason I downloaded this was to play something between classes at college lol

When you are in the deployment phase you cannot move units or attack with units. . If the unit is one you have placed on map you can click it and then click a different location to deploy it to BUT it will not physically move across the map. Every scenario begins with a briefing then deployment phase. It is not until you exit deployment that you can move and attack with units. However if this is occurring in the boot camp scenario there is no deployment phase for the first part of it. You go straight to the 1st turn when you end the briefing.

Try to change the setting "on one click", the first click you select the unit, the second click the hex where you move it.
The game uses the Unity "engine", you may need the latest version of the .Net Framework utility.

Maybe you changed the font size? Or trackpad settings?
