Game Tips
I figured out you need to do the early missions as near perfect as you can.

objectives that ask you to complete the MISSION in XX turns should be ignored. The reward is not as good as the extra cash you can make each turn sitting there healing up or collecting cash for next mission. Having the most health units for final battles are major.

Actually you will only lose RPs worth of one turn if you finish early. With the exception of this "extra portion" of RPs, you will get the same amount of RPs (for the next scenario) whether you end early or not. Therefore it is usually worth it to fulfil the (secondary) objective of completing the mission in XX turns (if available) and grab the reward.

yes but you can spend this cash on repairing them for the next battle. Just for me. I guess.

Whether you spend the RP during the scenario you are playing or during the setup for the next scenario it is the same amount. Your units will be the same strength. When you have an objective, they matter. You may not see it right away but they impact what enemy forces you may face later in the DLC. (either additional units or more experienced unit, sometimes both, or you may have more units available because you did the secondary objective. ) Some of these do not show up in the next scenario it can be a few down the line. So by ignoring them you are costing yourself in additional damage you take later so in reality it costs more.

Sure but you can make the repairs between the battles also. As an additional benefit there may be useful upgrades available then and by upgrading a damaged unit you get elite replacements for it at the price of regular replacements which saves a nice amount of RPs during a campaign. The other relevant points are already excellently presented in Boredflak's reply above.
It really depends on the campaign you're playing. In Kriegsmarine you can miss a third of secondary objectives and finish the campaign just fine. But God forbid you miss secondaries in Morning Sun, because in that campaign a lot of secondaries give you RP and commanders which you will absolutely need to outgun the Chinese. In general it is best to do every secondary, because 90% of them give you not only immediate, but prolonged advantage, be it RP, commanders, less enemy units in future missions or even spec points.

Yes you can miss every secondary objective in every DLC and still finish that DLC. That being said you should not just ignore them ever. There are times you will miss one but to say they do not matter is wrong.

I'm NOT saying they do not matter. What I was saying that in some DLCs they matter far more than in others.

i only said ignore finish in XX turn ones. I heal units and buy with the extra bucks.

there are "secondary" requisition supply points on the map, their capture brings additional. income.
As for tips on the game... Use the enemy's environment and fire from the flanks.

But you get the extra RP's and miss out on stuff the XX turns would give you. In the long term this will cost you MORE than the one turns RP's you miss out on for ending the scenario early. Again the benefits of the secondary objectives are sometime not seen in the next scenario some stretch out over several scenario's. So you may not see the impact of doing it right now, but in the long term it matters.
When I go for the secondary objective I use the non-core units and sacrifice them and only use the core that I have to. Usually artllery and uncontested air power units I still use as usual, and can use safely. It takes a bit to have the core units all labeled, but it always seems to pay off in Rp's down the road. Does anyone else do that ?

I read the reward, if its an extra unit or extra command points ... not worth it most times for me. AGAIN... just me, i share it with no expectations of being followed.
