How to pass the New Zealand mission in the Rising Sun campaign?

I always conquer both Christchurch an Akaroa, repel all the countterattacks, destroy all the enemy units except ships and supply ships, and yet I fail. What's wrong?

All US land units participating in the final invasion in the south must be eliminated. Maybe one of them is still in the boats hiding somewhere? You could check that out by opening the console (shift + c) and using the command #orbitalcommand.
