I agree. The e-file has never been on par with the rest of the game. If you want, you could make the appropriate change(s) in the units.csv -file. A good value for movement points of cavalry would be 10, which is also in line with other similar games.
They were used extensively in china by both sides, so they have a place in the game
I don't see that as a problem any more than with other units. On the contrary, cavalry is quite expensive and because it has no upgrades, it becomes obsolete quite quickly even if it were faster (more MPs). A segmented movement is a good idea, but for slower units it is of little use, so even then cavalry should be faster as it is in every other game (and works well in those).
I noticed that all types of cavalry don´t hold their rifles in their hands correctly but instead the rifles lie on the ground. Everyone else noticed that? I wonder why the Devs haven´t fixed those image files yet.
The bug you described is perhaps the most notorious one and reported countless of times. Better not hold one's breath waiting it to be fixed. :-|
Wow. I bought the majority of the DLCs of OOB, but just recently, as I am rather new to this particular game, and yet the Devs won´t even fix a basic unit image bug for ages. Very sad. Kinda reminds me on the greedy WG company policy.
