You didn't specify which scenario though, so I have no context as to
which MG they should have.
The MG34 was used from the beginning to the end of the war,
while the MG42 only was supplied to troops late '42 until '45.
Like I said earlier: Heavy Infantry graphics display changes in their loadout by year.
There is no change at all. It always stays the way it is.
changes as per the modernization. They're subtle changes perhaps, but it does happen.
Between '39 and '44 (from what I've seen) the gear would shift from (x) rifles & mg
to (x) stickgrenades, rifle & mg to (x) panzerfausts, rifle & mg.
"Rifle" may see even subtler changes from bolt-action to repeater (I'd have to check),
and "mg" changes may be too subtle to notice (the mg42 is visually just a smaller mg34)
so I don't know if that change made it into the game.
You'll have to keep modernizing your units if you want to see these visual changes.
representation of what units were carrying. Was never bothered by the mg image.
Especially since PzCorps and PzGeneral had roughly the same basic unit visuals.
