help with submarines

I need help trying to understand how to not die with submarines and deal any damage. I am on that dam kriegsmarine level where you have to sink 1hp convoys and the escorts destroyers keep ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my face. i have beat every other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ campaign in this game but i cant get my head wrapped around these dam submarines.

Yep, subs are pretty bad in OoB. Been a long time since I played this (four years?!), but you should naturally keep your distance from the escorts and focus on the transports. You can and should use your deck gun while torpedoes are reloading (note: do not try it against escorts). Since the transports have only 1 hp they are easy to destroy, causing four damage to escorts is another thing. Iirc you will get an aux Focke-Wulf Condor in the scenario and can use it to damage the escorts. Don't worry about its fuel - you can safely let it ditch. hey thanks man for the help. I love this game but I can't get my head wrapped around submarines. Kriegsmarine is the only campaign i haven't beaten cause i always wind up raging at that this level.
