Am I missing something on Java Sea?

Hey.

Having a lot of issues with the Java Sea mission in the Rising Sun campaign. I've managed to beat the previous maps with all the side objective, but I have no clue how I am supposed to do Java Sea. I am completely outgunned at all times and constantly losing destroyers to the waves of ABDA destroyers being thrown at me. Was I supposed to do something different somewhere back? At the beginning of the battle I have 509 points to spend, and I can't seem to come up with a mix that protects both north AND south, and then also gives me enough striking power to take out the ABDA fleet.

Any hints or ideas? Thanks.

you want to buy cruisers naval wise i actually had enough money to use battleships at java you also want some fighters and bombers to destroy their massive fleet its not a hard mission but you need to stop the ABDA fleet before they start to run away also take out the De Ruyter for the secondary dont let that ship get away
