With that being said, one thing I would like to point out is that you stated that this is the first wargame of this kind to come to the consoles. I don't think that is true. The wargame Sudden Strike 4 came to the PlayStation 4 on August 15, 2017 and to the Xbox One on May 25, 2018 and in my humble opinion I think it is sort of similar to Order of Battle has a wargame. I have played Sudden Strike 4 on the consoles and on my PC and I think it is fun to play on any gaming platform. I'm sure Order of Battle will be the same way.
I hope in the future you released more wargames for the consoles like Strategic Command WWII: World at War, Close Combat: The Bloody First, and Panzer Corps 2. I'm glad you have already released Battle of the Bulge and Drive to Moscow wargames on the consoles. I own both and I enjoy playing them on the consoles.
I plan to get Order of Battle base game and all the DLC's for the consoles as soon as they come out even though I have the base game and all the DLC's already for the PC. I think there is a real want and need for more wargames to be released on the consoles and I'm glad tp see you are moving in that direction. I thoroughly support your effort and hope you put a lot more wargames on the consoles in the future. Good luck and I hope you have much success with this.
1000s of unique units ? did you work on the Brexit campaign too?
I gotta ask man, what in the world are you talking about? Sudden Strike is a real time tactics game which is all about the micro-management of your forces in real time. Order of Battle is a turn based tactics/strategy game where you take your time, thinking your moves and building new units. The only similarities between Sudden Strike and Order of Battle are that they have the World War 2 theme and that's literally it.
I understand where you are coming from and yes you are right. Sudden Strike 4 is real time and Order of Battle: World War II is turn based. Thanks for pointing that out and I do apology if I have offended you.
All I was really trying to point out is that are World War II theme games out there already with DLC's on the consoles that are World War II based with maps and units like Order of Battle: World War II that are sort of similar in appearance only.
I noticed the game developer announced the game was supposed to come out on the consoles in late Spring already. The game still hasn't come out yet. Is the game still coming out on consoles or did it get cancelled? I hope not because I was looking forward to playing it on the consoles.
If I had to choose between Sudden Strike 4 or Order of Battle: World War II on which one I would rather own and play I would definitely choose Order of Battle: World War II. I love the Order of Battle: World War II series more than any other World War II series of games and I can't wait to try it out on the consoles.
Haha, I wasn't offended at all, just very confused. As far as I know the console version is still being worked on. I haven't seen or heard anything to suggest otherwise.
We haven't abandoned the plans to release it on console, far from it. It's just that we are taking our time to work on the UI so that it plays well with a controller.
Thank you for your response to my question if Order of Battle: World War II is coming out for the consoles. It is reassuring to know that it is being worked on and it will come out eventually. I know you guys will do a great job developing the game for the consoles. I look forward to playing it soon when it comes out.
Also Lumpy thanks for your respond.
Cheers
We'll do our best to deliver a great console port.
No Offense but Panzer and Allied General play fine on the my PS3 and they were released for the original Playstation in the 1990s. the controller UI has already been figured out. Unless you feel you have to screw it up just to be different. i'll tell you what I wish you would look into. The combat scale. A game for the Xbox 360 Patton was a turn based strategy game. It failed on most levels but the scale of the combat was awesome. The units moved like any turn based strategy game but they they were huge. Everything on the battle map including the units had been scaled up at least 10x. I would ask that you guys at least take a look at this Patton game for the 360. If you want to finally surpass Panzer General the way to do it is make it possible for the entire world to war in multiplayer. Offer the option of real world timed turns, But finally increase the size and scale in combat. best of all you don't have to reinvent the wheel. just make a better tire. if you guys don't take this Patton game combat scale and find a way to put it in a game like this, someone will. It's the next logical step. I hope you guys take a look at the scale just for combat.
