Midway @ Japan - how do you end the scenario ?
I'm playing Midway as Japan in the Rising Sun campaign.
Midway is captured and US fleet has retreated (turn 20).
Looks like the 2 main objectives are fulfilled, but the game won't stop.
What am I missing ?

Also, the 3 US carriers have been destroyed and the "destroy US carriers" secondary objective is still pending. Is there a 4th carier hidden in some strange location ? I have recon'ed almost all the map and definitely all all the eastern part of the map - if there is a hidden carrier it must have start the scenario really close to japanese starting positions on the west side of the map...

No, there is no fourth carrier because you have probably destroyed it in the previous scenario (Coral Sea). Having done that the objective stays pending and you have to play all turns even though there are no enemies in the map. Quite annoying bug, but you will get a victory anyway.

OK, thanks for the tip ! I was afraid to end this scenario with a defeat, considering that one of the objectives was seemingly unfulfilled.

Fine scenario, that bug apart. This campaign is quite interesting but I'll have to replay it later at with a higher difficulty level : because IA is very static and does not manoeuver, level III is really easy, poor yankees are just being hopelessly slaughtered :steamfacepalm:

True, but it is a good first campaign. Blitzkrieg, Panzerkrieg and Winter War are more challenging. But they have no carriers. ;-)

Morning Sun was also more challenging, in my memories. I played it a while ago, and I re-opened OOB with Rising Sun recently. I guess the campaigns of the original serie (Pacific > Rising Sun + the 2 US campaigns) were easier than the campaigns in the DLCs ?

Yes, I would say that. Maybe Bataan (US Pacific) is a bit challenging scenario, because you get 0 RP per turn. Burma Road is IMO also easy because you get so many RPs and you're able to deploy unrealistically large air force. Morning Sun is good and Sino-Japanese war is not often featured in games. And you get to transfer your core to Rising Sun (as if it is not easy enough already :-D).
