And cap the bidge and finally go to stalingrad. :(
Please elp me.
I really hope that this is a bug or will be changed in the future, because after the amazing alternate history in the Rising Sun and Kriegsmarine campaigns, I had hoped we could change at least a bit in the german main campaign.
Also I must say I am worried for the last part now, because at this rate we will just have a "die at berlin" final mission. Really hope I am wrong, but I would have hoped to be able to change small points in history (like Morning Sun) in order to change a big part (final battle) at the end
Sorry for the text wall.
I just can't see any other way to design a "winning battle" in a game about lost war. May be unique unit?
Classic Panzer Corps has the same problem. No matter what you do you still lose the war :).
I haven't finished Classic PC, I only know about the extended campaign with the "miraculous victory" where the allies seemingly give up after being pushed back at Berlin.
Yes I do agree that a "victory" during Winter Storm would be impossible, even if the relief force could open up the whole pocket and evacuate the 6th, those men would desperately need medical supplies, food and rest, and they would of course not be an immediate help in order to reinforce the defense, and the next missions would be the same, or even worse because the relief force has commited more men and equipment in the breakout.
However as I mentioned, Artistocrats have made some very good and plausible alternate history that remains realistic while also being rewarding ( winning objectives in china that have historically been lost, to enable a final unhistorical battle).
I would like to suggest a small change to the ending text if the secondary objective is completed-
instead of "victory " some kind of "mission complete", informing us that the 6th has survived, and is being sent to the back lines to recover- so we saved them, but they can not fight on at the moment.
Also I would add a marker (pins on the map) like in the pacific campaigns, there are almost none in Panzerkrieg anyways informing us that our army will eventually be reinforced because of the extra soldiers.
Still I dont know what the actual reward is at the moment - I got no unit, no exp boost and nothing to "strenghten my core" as the description is. Have you noticed anything?
As always sorry for the text wall.
No. Lend Lease tanks made up between 10% and 20% of all active duty Soviet tanks depending on period. The high point was the winter of 1941 during the Soviet counteroffensive when almost 1 in every 4 tanks available for the offensive was lend leased.
Soviet tankers enjoyed ♥♥♥♥ talking them, but find me a tank crew anywhere or anywhen that didn't spend at least half their life complaining about their tank. Turns out tankers are like soldiers everywhere: the only thing they love more than pudding cups is complaining about literally everything. It's an article of faith among senior noncoms everywhere that if a soldier stops whining for more than five seconds they are either dead or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up.
