As much as I enjoy Armageddon I can't help but wish it was more wh40k Epic and less panzer general in 40k . The most effective way to fix this would be to implement the epic army building and battle points system in any future campaigns these were a great way to build realistic battle formations .
The system used command unit cards that had unit type slots that you filled as points allowed eg a company commander might have 3 infantry slots and a armored unit . In a game like Armageddon the potential of this system is massive since new unit and command cards could be given as rewards for campaign objectives or even hidden in locations on the maps ie a tile with a crashed shuttle or an old mechanicus shrine .
By chooseing from a variety of unit cards entirely new armies could be quickly constructed for each battle . Even with this system there still would be a player connection to units with exp points unlocking slots on that unit for additional subattachments like a terminator unit unlocks a slot and you attach a cyclone missile launcher card to it or maybe a space marine chaplain card that grants the unit a special ability .

Missing so far from the unit lists has been the imperial knight class titans and also the warlord and the emperor so if a future campaign is planned perhaps base it around an adeptus mechanicus army preferably fighting somthing other than orks please anything but more orks !
