Requisition Earnings on Hard
I had Missions i didnt receive any Requisition. I was 2-3 Turns finished sooner. I play this for the first time, had to read some Unit Guide, otherwise u spent Money for nought. Variants are crazy XD
However, Xp is really slow on Hard and i load my saves to let every survive this onslaught.
But the renowns are so mediocre sometimes i dont know.

Sometimes u dot eget anything, other times u get barely enough. I know its hard and it supposed to be, but the balancing of ur Legion and the Enemy Ai is sometimes stupid hard.

HOW can i IMPROVE MY EARNINGS?!
i thought if i finish sooner, or Kill everything i get more renown? NO, Yes?!

What is the thing to get renown? Just play the Mission and it is a set amount?

Please help me out here

thnx

Keep in mind that at the start of a new mission, your requisition points are first used to heal up squads wounded in the previous mission, and whatever is left over is what you get to spend on buying new units. If you end a mission with lots of wounded squads, then you may not have many (or any) requisition points left over at the start of your next mission.

To maximize available requisition points, you have to avoid suffering too many casualties. Expensive units (like terminators and vehicles) eat up a lot of requisition points in order to bring them back to full strength after a mission.

Keeping some cheap units in your army is a good idea because you can use them as cannon fodder, drawing fire away from your elite (expensive) troops.

Ohh i didnt know, how should i... XD
This Game explains ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Thnx a lot. I thought, healing midgame costs a lot of points and i was hoping for free charge Healing after each Mission. Damn that sucks?

I guess there is nO Regeneration of any Kind in this Game?
What does sleeping do exactly?

Resting recovers the hit points (and morale) of a squad's survivors. For example, if a tank squad's stats are 3 Strength & 10 Health, that means the unit is made up of 3 individual tanks, each with 10 hit points. If that squad takes 5 points of damage, then ONE of the tanks in that squad will now be at half health. If you have it rest, then you can heal it back up to full. But, continuing that example, if the squad takes a whole 10 points of damage, then one of the tanks in that unit is now dead -- it'll take more than just rest to bring it back.

The only way to bring back a dead squad member is to spend Requisition Points during the mission, or to wait until the next mission. Either way it's going to cost you Req to replenish your casualties, but doing it DURING the mission is often preferable since it doesn't eat into the next missions Req Point allotment.

Also, as a squad's casualties increase, its fighting ability decreases because there are fewer men making attack rolls. A full squad of 20 Ogryns makes 20 attack rolls per turn with their ripper guns, whereas a squad with only one Ogryn left alive...only gets one attack roll.

You have to keep all of this in mind when putting your elite troops in danger. Even the most bad ass Terminator squad is useless when it gets beaten down to 1 Strength. And sometimes the best thing you can do with a tank squad is pull them back and let them rest a turn when they get a wound, because healing a damaged Baneblade is much cheaper than replacing a dead one.

okay cool, resting then is useful!

The rest i knew, but this req... on hard its tough to get req fter a mission. I had a mission where i had to defend 14 turns and hold 3 Flags, Its nuts, iun the end i kited them and left some guards i had from the mission, notz my own to slow em down. Cant remeber which mission that was. Its stupid hard!

My Army:
2 Ogryns
Command Squad
Mortar
Anti Tank Unit
2 Leman Russ Upgraded Weapons
2 Leman Russ Upgraded
Punisher Leman Russ
Command Vehicle
Basilisk
2 Sentinels Armageddon

I managed everyone to be alive at the end, but still... Even with that nice Composition i feel like it feels nigh on impossible sometimes. U have to load reload the saves all the time to get the best rolls and positioning, which sucks a bit...

There was a Community Update, is it worth it? Are the Units some better there?

Im not sure what i get next? Punisher would be nice i guess, but another Basilisk helps out alot?!

I only play on Normal difficulty because it's what the game was balanced for (and even then it has balance issues). The higher difficulty levels are only challenging because they are so insanely unbalanced. The strategic AI is not any better at all, it just gets artificially higher dice rolls against you. That's all.

My only advice when it comes to the higher difficulty levels is to simply not play them. If you have to save scum to make it through missions, well...that just isn't my definition of fun.

The Community Mod fixes some things, but rebalances the game using 8th Edition tabletop rules which I didn't care for. Armageddon is supposed to be an EPIC scale 40k adaptation, so for me personally the Community Mod just feel kind of wrong. Regular 40k is awesome and all, but EPIC 40k is...EPIC! :bloodangel:

there is no point going above challenging, the AI doesnt get any smarter and you just spent more turns using your arty to trimm down the over bloated ai units.

Completely agree.

okay thnx for the tips!

I restarted "again" on normal now, feels abit too easy now but well... XD

later when you will gain acess to space marine units its advisable to avoid recruiting terminators and generally melee units, and you shouldnt ever upgrade your infantry units with transports because you will pay both the cost of transport and infantry when you heal them.
this is especially bad with terminator units which their heal costs can pay for up to 2-3 lemman rus tanks.

okay cool, thnx again. I restarted on normal again and its so super easy now if u know the missions. Nearly where i was on 2nd hardest difficulty.

I have tanks for all my Infantry, it lets me get in out really quick which i love. but i remeber that for the terminators.

But are Terminators that bad? Was looking forward to them ;-((

Terminators are actually quite good, especially at defending/assaulting urban areas (where vehicles often can't go). Not sure why anyone would recommend against them.

because they can get killed by gretchins?they cost as much as a baneblade and are very costly to heal if they loose men from the squad.
and since you cant use elite reinforcments like in every other pg clone your chances of getting them to vet lvl are next to zero.
either use the gatling gun variant so they have a range of 3 or buy them a land raider transport and use then only when they are inside the raider because it has much better armor.

Baneblades are great on open maps where vehicles have room to actually move. On hive city maps with narrow roads and lots of buildings, Baneblades are mostly useless, whereas terminators are excellent and get cover & defense bonuses. Gretchins can't do much against a squad of terminators on a fortified tile, especially when those gretchins are being pounded by indirect fire support weapons.

Played Terminators on Extended Tutorial

I felt like they were okay(fortified) even with Lightning claws, but not sure if they are worth it. u need ranged in my opinion. Im not sure if there is a mixed Termie Variation. With what i was even more imperssed were Tactical Marines. They were able tpo shoot heavy armored stuff, even better than Termienators with Cyclone and Assault Cannon. I definetly get one Sternguard and one Command Squad for sure!

But like u said, Gretchin killing Terminators?? Dont feel that in any way. My Ogryn Veteran Squad is really good dealing wiht them. I have couple skulls and the can wipe them in one go with about 45 Gretchin in a squad its super good!
Not sure, but i ave a feeling that u can hold on to your Ogryn Squad even in later Games maybe!

What i need is a good Scout. Still have my 2 Sentinels Ar,ageddon Pattern, which are quite Tanky sometimes, but dont do much damage. I wasnt really imporessed with Snipers so far. Maybe Marine Souts ar better, ill see... Bikes however did a nioce chunk of damagae, but i havent tried out Speeders yet.

Marine scouts deal slightly less damage than ratlings, but are MUCH more resilient, therefore worth it..
