When you hit 0% energy
Do you know there's a special BGM for that situation, and all characters start getting nervous and have special dialogues. But the game is too damn easy I had to actually try to be able to fully deplete my energy bar. What's the point of managing energy when you have a Tesla recharge station every 10 meters and it takes minutes to drain just 5%?

when you tried to do stupid things like... trying to parkour your way around obstacles and not the intended oath and failing but the exact punishment for 0% energy core means you cant parkour as you lose access to your triple jump

I do recommend indeed not upgrading your energy capacity/efficiency nor use nectar bottles if you want the energy mechanic to have a real impact and even then outside of later on in the game it's still really easy to keep your energy up...

The only time I actually used nectar bottles is when I found a way to go out of bounds and had to deal with the lack of means to quickly regain it as well as big falls.

In situations like that in games I usually put in place some house rules to make the game a little more challenging. Not the most elegant solution, but it usually makes a game more enjoyable for me.

Consider for example limiting your use of the blue recharge flowers to one time, or not allowing yourself to do simple crafting outside of a base.

This game could have copied Metal Gear Survive with trying to explore an area with low visibility, building your own landmarks as you have no map/minimap, until you clear an area while managing your energy.
