Sivash Region Early: Softlock

There's a way to get to the Sivash Region early by making a somewhat precise jump on the right wall near the Storm Elemental Habitat in the Cellal Ruins in the south of the Ligeneus Region. If you go to the Preces Cathedral early and clear the manabound area before you're "supposed" to, it locks you out of completing the quest "The Welleks Warriors", softlocking your game. I've tried to get to the next area as well, but it seems much more robustly protected with immense walls, both regular geometry and invisible, so unless they implement some kind of post-hoc fix, this spells the end for my 20-hour save file.

Don't do what I did, and here's hoping they either remove the skip (boring) or prevent you from clearing the Cathedral early (something they already did with the Dux Lighthouse).

I'm playing blind and saw that ladder and could guess there was a way to climb it early yea. Did it after half an hour and looked around a bit but did not want to go ahead of the story. Sucks you can get softlocked at all though

yeah, chances are good they did not test this game as much as they did on previous games. reports of broken progressions do happen in some instances. i myself have a broken quest since the historician npc just disappeared.

we can only hope they will fix it, but in the meantime, you can at least report the skips you did which lead to the issue (which you did) so it might gets blocked off. sequence breaking can happen in many games but to an extent you can tell whether it was intentional or not. it's a risk and reward situation which sadly did not turn out good for you here.
