How to equip traits?

This honestly seems like the kind of thing a simple Google search should be able to find, but in spite of Gust's attempts to appeal to a wider audience with this title, the series remains niche, and I am having trouble finding this information. Anyone know how to equip traits?

- press tab > got to the screen where you equipt (should be the sword symbol)
- hover with mouse over the equipment
- press f > select trait screen will open (equipment needs a least one opened trait slot)

You need to unlock the trait slot lvling it up the craft with the core red one.

I was also lost , but once you get an equip with a slot unlocked, you can equip trait with those gem style colors.

I have a Luft with all three trait slots open, and I also have a trait blending station. Is there something else I need to actually equip the traits?

If you try to equipt a trait and there is nothing to select, than maybe you dont own any traits for this slot. Armor, weapon, things like Luft etc. dont use the same traits.
Furthermore you equipt the traits in the equiptment screen.

Can you tell me what buttons I have to press to equip a trait? When I go to the equipment screen, I do not see the option anywhere to equip a trait on anything. I have an increase air damage trait. Shouldn't I be able to put that on a Luft?

Figured it out. Was using the wrong Luft.
