What determines investigation rate?

Is it just finding POIs? My Sivash map is at 99% and I can't figure out what I"m missing.

Nvm, a Duskwood Mushroom icon was covering the undiscovered symbol. I should have used the map filter.

I have a similar problem in the Auruma region. I have both Ligneus and Sivash at 100% but Auruma is only at 97% even though there are no white question marks on the map. Does the Pioneering Effort count as well? (As far as I know it shouldn't.)

If I'm remembering correctly, the ziplines located in the northwestern section of the Lacuna region pushed me to 100%.

Oh thank goodness someone found it! I was going crazy myself trying to find it!

Thank you so much for saying that. I was also missing the ? under the Dusk Mushroom Gathering Spot, and I would never have found it!

Glad that it helped! I was running all around the map for like an hour before I noticed the map filter option and voila!
