I have not had to craft any new gear in HOURS of the gameplay despite unlocking additional skills and the 999 quality limit on gear and i still bulldozed the Wolf in the 3rd region and the goat/ram/sheep lady in the 4th region that suppose to serve as thar `final moment fights`, yet they died so pathetically it reminds you how much of how Atelier yumia feels like an AI-generated open world landscape when you even notice numerous assets, especially in the city has `clipping issues` with structures, even if its suppose to be INTENTIONAL with how the story implies it, but comes off more like they wanted an excuse to gloss over the fact they wanted to rush on making the 4th region just as much as copy/pasting previous structure portions except more like giant block structures instead of ruined walls and what not.
Either way its kinda sad i have to say the same thing with both Dave the Diver and Atelier yumia, both get insanely boring in the later half of the story but atleast since Dave the diver i got for about 12~ bucks it made more sense, just its problem was more you max out a number of things FAR too early and glacial/volcano region of underwater exploration requires multiple spams of gunfire/harpoons for even small fish to catch them that you have to bring the net instead of the gun you would normally bring to deal with larger fish like the sharks...
In yumia`s case its because the crafting goes from 6 to 70+ resources per craft and you still have to prepare a bunch of fodder resources and/or wait several minutes or spend hours on farming a resource to accelerate it, which really goes to show how much Atelier Y umia fell into the TRASHWARE wait-a-thon mobile game design logic despite being a 80~ or something dollar freaking game and why the idea of increasing the price tag of games by 10 or even 20 dollars from its 49.99, 59.99 or 69.99 price tags should not be a thing...
Especially when all it did result in was i regret not doing the same thing i did with Like a Dragon 1 and Like a Dragon 2, and waited a year for both of them respecitively to get them 50% off, cause even if Atelier yumia was 50% off, i still feel like 30 bucks would be too expensive for it with how the story feels uninvolved, character interactions feel so uninvolved and so many damn things feel like nothing burgers that would AMOUNT TO NOTHING AT ALL, if they were to make a Atelier yumia 2, just do a time skip and the Elussie or whatever the name of the kingdom that Yumia is from is called, will STILL have a massive hate boner for Alchemy, yet they totally ignore Yumia but she gets bullied so hard she can`t do alchemy because she forgets every freaking thing to alchemy just because she loses her `cheat device mascot` to doing alchemy, despite she could easily read the memories of mana and so on todo said alchemy.
ROAD ROLLER DA!
But yeah the game is way too easy, I loved the game but it kind of took the fun out of it half way through it combat wise. Maybe if the hardest difficulty was playable from the start it could be interesting, but even so.
Yes, it's Dio voice actor.
heck its not just simply easy, its BORING easy. Because you either are having to hit a enemy a bunch of times with no real difference in fighting enemies in the first region to fighting enemies in the final, 4th region.
Just you get more actions and use-counts for skills and synthesis combat items to spam so instead of having 2 or maybe 3 skills on cooldown, you almost never have half your skills on cooldowns, especially after rushing a bunch of recipe recalls to 10 and synthesized rank 10 recipe recall`d S-rank gear and got a bunch of extra effects tacked on and nearly 30 times your original attack.
The REAL plus side of combat at the end or specifically the 2nd region is you already hit max level 99 so you don`t have to hear that stupid level up sound and see the repeatedly spam `level up cutscene` where they try to make it look amazing but it feels like they wasted a large bit of the budget on a terrible scene of the dang wolf girl getting head pats from Yumia who is completely off-screen and looks a bit creepy after seeing it 50+ times in a matter of just 1~2 hours after you finally get the freaking dog girl unlocked at the end, but she has one of the more ANNOYING combat designs of needing to forcibly spam swap between skills and items to `build up daggers.`
Meanwhile Rudger is just stack HP to burn hp to boost his attacks, The knight guy is something defense stat, Spear girl is stun symbols, except stuff dies too fast to capitalize much on STUN DAMAGE. Yumia just wants to spam skills before they unload it all on a single skill use, too bad most stuff die before you get that single item use and the big boobie `mercenary lady` gets the most broken as FK gimmick in the game, scaling off of speed, one of the two stats you wanna capitalize hard on anyway to do bigger hits and faster hits anyway, but since she is locked to `magic/ranged` specific attacks, she can`t interact with MELEE stun gauge enemies because for some reason instead of just making attacking enemies reduces the stun gauge period, they have to have a melee and range system where some characters exclusively only deal melee hits and others exclusively range hits despite any others when going between inner/outter ring would change them to melee or range respectively...
Honestly this is a fine example of putting too many stupid damn systems in place where if it was open world and trying to divorce from the Atelier name by being less about alchemy, they should of made it FAR MORE simplified and focus on polishing the remaining systems cause they could take 2/3rds of the crappy systems out (Ability stones, Recipe Recall, Mana prism/fragments, mana shrines, treasure troves, exploration pouch (and bring back the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gathering tools instead) cause its stupid disposable and stupid limited capacity becomes more of an annoyance if you can just use simple synthesis to make more of them and your constantly throwing crap out cause you can`t make single copies of certain things, it just makes multiple stacks of the crap that makes the skill tree unlocks that let you make additional simple synthesis items even MORE annoying.
Anyway back to taking a break after spam looping 40+ particle geysers to try and finish maxing combat items before i move onto equipment cause i wanna just get the recipe recalls fully maxed out before i make the final gear, rush the rest of the 4th region and call night-fall on this game and move onto rerunning some good freaking ♥♥♥♥♥ instead while i wait for good stuff to go on discount...that or case in and NOT wait for Doom the dark ages to get a few days before i sink my teeth into gorey FPSes again.
Even semi sleepy gacha game story length spamming is more enjoyable then engaging in Atelier Yumia for more then an hour of gameplay `progression.`
