Refunded the game due to no save data
Koei wasted 10 hours of my time this week. On a demo they could have released day one for potential buyers. Those that preordered were happy to try out the game.

Sadly the demo came out. 10 hours wasted and the steam deck shows no saves from demo or such.

Koei wasted my time. And honestly the first hour tower trash and blurry game is not enjoyable to look at. They took my progress, and all ingredients. And no way for the game to find saved files for the actual game holders.

Good job koei, I am refunding 120 dollars from your bs demo attempt.

It smells funny in my house. Waaahhh - The game must be the culprit. I am going to refund...

It certainly sounds like that...

If you uninstall a game on deck it removes saves usually. That includes demos. The saves also might be undetectable by the real game, as they are in different directory than expected (each game gets their proton compatibility folder).

If you are having issues transferring the data on the deck make sure both the demo and full game are installed at the same time.
If it doesn't help perform the process on PC (the demo has cloud sync). Then SD will just download the cloud save from full game with imported save.

stupid reason to not buy,not many games let demo progress carry over.

It appears that the game can only load the autosave from the demo (not the normal saves), AND it doesn't show it correctly from the loading menu. I put the demo folder files next to the game's files in the prefix, and also copied over the auto save into the game, went to the game and hit the continue button and it did load the auto save. All progress was kept including that I had already unlocked the path to one of the next main objectives.
I had no problems transferring my save over.

All 3 of my saves from the demo showed up in the real game. I didn't try to load them, though. It asked if I wanted to keep my progress, and I said "yes". Then I hit 'continue" on the main menu.

Later, when I hit "save", my demo saves were already there.

i remember the days when a demo was just that.. a demo and I had to start over when the game came out..
In Yumia demo I just did a bare minimum of anything.. walked around a little, looked at the synthesis system and then uninstalled it.. Why? well it's just a demo and am very grateful we got one at all.
