The leveling seems. . . highly accelerated
I'm just a couple of hours in and am already level 20. It seems you level up incredibly quickly. Did the devs mess up the way they balanced experience or what?

Whatever could you mean?:lunar2019laughingpig:
I left the first zone at lvl 82, the bracelet that boosts xp gives insane bonus to it, my whole party wears one, and the xp just comes in thousands from any type of fights.

Though I am bummed the lvl cap is at 100, I wouldn't mind it being a lot higher.
But levels don't mean much in this game, since it's the gear from where the most stats come from, so don't worry about the leveling part too much.

I'd suggest you get doggo before hitting lv 100 or you will miss her level up animation forever
It's because the game has level scaling enemies.

No ?
I do think the game is quite a bit on the easier side, and that you can level super fast, but it's not the end of the world. I've been trying not to level up and I'm already level 74 and I'm just barely finishing up the 2nd region.

Honestly just reminded me a bit of Ys 1 where you could reach max level within like 10 minutes of starting a new game, but I don't think it's quite the same with Yumia with enemy difficulty.

Best way to manage that, I've found, is to set the difficulty level higher than "normal." Far from getting rid of ridiculous leveling, it makes it worse--but at least you feel a little better about receiving the experiential award for actually taking on a little strategic work. I figure any game that offers crazy leveling does so under the impression that players will get hooked on the quick advance. (Or, as in the Disgaea series, where leveling is an inside joke with players amassing levels in the thousands against opponents who do the same.)

Yeah I think that's the play, I don't mind having a relaxing time and just cruising through a game here and there, but balancing feels a bit weird.
