Game not recognizing some buttons from XInput controller
So it doesn't seem like the game is recognizing my Xinput controller buttons. I can't use the 'A' confirm button at all, and when I try to configure the controller in the options it will switch between 'jump' and 'gather' for anytime I repeat assigning the "A" button. When I try to confirm settings with "A", it never accepts it, like it can't even tell there is any input.

I did not have this problem with this controller with the Atelier Ryza series at all. Just wondering if anyone else is having controller issues.

I'm using a Steelseries Stratus Duo that I picked up back in 2019. Running on Windows 11 and in device manager it just sees it as a HID compliant game controller. Not finding any driver updates for it either.

If I open up "Set up USB game controllers", the buttons all seem to be recognized fine, without any weird behavior.

I've also now just gone into the Steam controller settings and "Test Device Inputs" and it recognizes all my controller button presses correctly there as well.

So that makes me think maybe it's something with the game... is anyone else having these issues?

It's strange because some buttons are being recognized just fine. But the "A" confirmation button action isn't working at all. The "X" and "B" buttons seem to work okay. Directional pads are fine too. The downpress on the thumb sticks is not recognized though.

Yeah something underneath the hood is broken for PC controllers. Similar to your problem, it doesn't let me press A on some menus (map, base build, crafting), but when I press up on the joystick for a little bit, it's as if I pressed the A button.
No other game does this, I did a controller input test and everything worked fine there. It's definitely not my controller at fault. KT/Gust just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up.
It's even worse here because the KB/M controls are ABYSMAL.
