Native HDR Mod -- Atelier Yumia

I've been working on an HDR mod since the beta, and its in a somewhat solid state right now

**NOTE: THIS MOD ONLY WORKS ON NVIDIA GPUS**

This isnt "AutoHDR" like a lot of other mods out there, but actually modified game code to have the game run in HDR


1) Download and install reshade 6.4.1 + addon (custom) -- we need a pre-build version in order for dx12 perf to not get griefed

-- We don't need any shaders/effects, we just use reshade to inject our mod


2) Download the mod: https://marat569.github.io/renodx/renodx-yumia1.addon64
-- These are github autobuilds; so they are constnatly updated

3) place renodx-yumia1.addon64 in the same folder as your Atelier_Yumia.exe
-- \steamapps\common\Atelier Yumia\

Installation notes:

- If you want to use XeSS, update the .dll to the latest version; or else the game will crash!

Press "home" and "renodx" to control the mod!

it's not. I have AMD 7900XTX and this mod works fine. But I don't play on Windows either.

On windows it just errors looks like an old school tv with tons of snow was told to use Nvidia.

As for Linux, I play the game with controller and stuffing the steam instance into gamescope to get controller working for hdr games consistently crash within 5min, so I still move to windows for hdr, it's coming along in Linux but playing yumia with keyboard and mouse isn't really in my interest ^_^

Gamescope session mode only works if I actively pull out my other monitor it's a bit of a pain

It looks like you put a crooked package. I have 2 screen connected: TV and monitor. There are no problems with HDR, as well as with stability.

Thats interesting, I'll have to do some research -- because based on what I know about D3D12/Vulkan resource upgrades + AMD -- the mod shouldn't work -- but start artifacting over time -- but if it works on linux thats pretty cool

I *might* be able to get an AMD comparability patch soon btw through some bandaid code

That would be pretty cool but I do think just adding in future announcements that it's Nvidia only or something would be a nice heads up.

I quite literally installed win 11 on a dual boot just to play yumia in hdr just to realize my game turned into snow haven, and being told it wouldn't work.
Not faulting you but a heads up before I spent 4+ hours on setting up an os and drivers would have been nice ;3

I updated the pin over at the HDR Den/Atelier Reno when I found out AMD GPUs dont work -- and forgot this thread exists since not a lot of people reply to it

I've updated the post

But it's a lie. if you use a normal OS, then everything works on radeons too
