Such a shame
I tried the demo, the game looks fun, animations are detailed, combat that we experienced in the demo was easy but I believe it's because they are in the early levels, but I found the system interesting and I'm the kind of player that like to explore.

What I don't liked:

Collectable items could have been more polished, they are a visual mess;
Graphics are mediocre, but since they had to release to that garbage of console worse than a cellphone (Nintendo Switch) I wasn't expecting much;

I can't complain about the story, kinda silly to expect that of a Atelier so I'm chill with that, but the game definitely don't worth the value that they are asking for, such a shame because overall I really liked the demo and could have purchased it in the pre release a well.

apparently every area has the same points of interest so it becomes repetitive, and the battle sys and alchemy sys dont get any depth at all, its very dissapointing

I felt a little overwhelmed by the amount of collectables, I believe they could have been more subtle, it's clear that they took inspiration of Genshin and many other RPGs but copy what are good and working isn't a bad thing and honestly games could do that more, but if you're asking that much for your game then I will charge the same amount.

the items you gather lose almost all importance by late game apparently, you only need rainbow puniballs to perfect any synthesis so in the end its meaningless

You still need to get to that point first tho so it's really not meaningless.

thing is you dont, the alchemy is simplified to the point that you can add any material so theres no depth to it whatsoever, might as well have all the ingredients be the exact same thing just with different numbers

That still doesn't make it meaningless especially when there are people who are aiming for specific traits when synthesizing.

The question is how tedious they are to get, and what it's effects really are.
Some items still have synthesis effects I guess including items you can make with those puniballs that only apply to the item.
If nothing else that will still hopefully at least act as one more step/slightly more thought in creating decent enough items, as much as I'm also not impressed by the new system right now.

no more trait system, you craft gems of sorts and those are attatched to the equipment, if you want the best items just use rainbow puniballs for every single synth, meaning no need to gather any other material just grind puniballs

that im not sure, most reviews ive seen seems the players have a lot of rainbow puniballs so they must be simple to grind.

Honestly yeah I will agree that the traits change is not exciting.
I dunno if there's any way to get gems from other places than treasure chests though, and it seems like the gear has to match elements with the gem for the latter to be affixed?

Though it was pretty easy to look at Ryza (or at least 3) and go 'yeah i'll stack supercharge traits for killer stats' so maybe they wanted to do something against that.

bit too far in the opposite direction, it seems its incredibly easy to make remake and duplicate perfect items here
