Wasn’t disagreeing with what you said, there’s obviously some optimization issues.
Was just stating what I could see based off your one screenshot at the time.
I personally didn’t run into these issues though.
I’m on 572.16 studio drivers. (if that helps)
Try the demo out on Switch before you decided.
The performance on Switch isn't that great either, but it is way better than on my PC. On PC, when I move, Yumia teleports all over the place; but on Switch, I already have well over 6 hours and only a single crash so far. https://atelier.games/yumia/jp/topics/20250318.html
I'm confident the performance will improve everywhere because of this notice. Long term, it's better to buy it on PC because I'm going to upgrade it, but I don't want to wait two months to play this game...
At 60 FPS cap game is jumping between 30 - 60 FPS. Game feels like it stutters.
Seems that the game needs some optimization, as the FPS jumps at the 60 FPS cap on my system is just to huge, which results that the game seems to stutter.
they did say they're gonna release more performance patches.
Game is running very smooth for me just had initial starting issues for the demo with crashes on cutscene but that was due to my monitor using a weird window size.
I think it comes down to preference, i had thought about getting it for switch but i'd imagine my PC is just way faster and i have more freedom of what settings i want to run the game with.
If you're getting it on consol you'll have the guarantee that it'll run but miss out on the customisation you get on PC.
Really comes down to what you prefer and what your standards are.
If I lower the resolution to 1080p, reset the game, and then return it to 4K, it runs at 60 fps no problem.
With these new update puting "limited" on the CPU thread utilization (along with checking in game bar that this app is a game) efectively parks the non 3D cores. Performance is the same i think. I'm playing at 3440x1440p and if i uncap the frame rate i reach like 130 - 140 fps. Every setting is on max except motion blur, and bloom.
Now, did anybody crash during fast travel? It happened to me twice between yesterday and today. I dunno what could be causing this.
I was getting severe stutters on windows
Moving to nobara (fedora)
I find the game runs quite well however I suspect your frame drops are you underestimating how power hungry this game is, it's fully eating up my 7900xtx.
I even enabled dynamic resolution and I do still seem to have a bit of jumps in performance depending on what I'm doing but it's stable.
Id advice to try to run mango hud and then lower settings / tweak a bit until you find your sweet spot.
I'm not sure what the game is doing but its quite heavy noticed that at 1080p60 I still saw my GPU spike between 50-70% load
I'm a greedy idiot however so I applied the ultra wide patch and run it at 5120x1440p where I seem to fluctuate around 80-120fps based on what I'm doing but I got vrr so that's not too much of a problem as the game no longer stutters on Linux.
Running it on Windows 10 with an old RTX 2060 (6GB VRAM)
though I was getting a new machine built right as it came out and am now on win11, rx 9070 xt, ryzen 7 9800x3d, ddr5 6000mhz ram and on a samsung evo 990 4tb. still runs flawlessly maxed out 1440p
if I had to guess, I'm imagining that the current moment people are probably struggling with is vram. even settings as low as it goes my system was using like 6.5gb of the vram on my card, I'd guess that would cause a ton of bad stutters for anybody with a card that doesn't have much to spare. completely maxed out it uses 10gb of its vram
