spent my youth with snes games with English subs and no dubs. still managed to enjoy and even understand most of them even back then, as a self taught child.
today I check the eng dub, which is 99% of the time abysmal and crap, with zero phatos and emotions, then happily switch back to Japanese dub and get joy from VA that at the very least put some real effort in their work, not just reading a script.
whether or not they put English dubs in atelier games, that will not change anything for me, so I'm not a against or in favour of it.
however I'm pretty sure that if they'll ever put Italian dubs on Japanese games, they will be as bad as anime Italian dubs we have, so I'll STILL switch to Japanese's dubs even in that very case!
Yakuza is great had no problem with no English just that sometimes with out dialog control i missed some dialog because it just flew by. Not very interested in the new games after 6 tho. I believe the Yakuza games were also the first game i played without English dialog that i can recall.
I honestly just started the atelier games and love them so far and so far no intrusion of real life bs which i will say i do not want westerns bs pushed in these games or any game at all. Reminds me of older JRPGs got 11 more games to go once i finish the Arland series. I just hope Yumia is not infected with cringe dialog translations like other JRPGs have been doing recently.
As I really was interested in the Ryza games but reading all that while having the japanese vo droning on in the background just isn't to my taste.
Yeah it's a joke. Jokes can be dumb cuz they're jokes lol
Next time I'll DM you to see if it's okay to post since apparently you were put in charge of humor and sarcasm on the internet.
Point still stands though for it costing 70 dollars it doesn't even have the most spoken language in the world, that's a joke in itself.
