Is this game good if you liked system shock?

Flashback, Alien and other slick sci fi games? The video looks pretty cool shooting robots and stuff but what is the gameplay and story like? Do you guys recommend this if you enjoy a good sci fi narrative and how much replay and gameplay is involved?

Honest opinions only if you love it share why you love it, if you hate it same. I’m not biased just interested.

I played through once in one sitting and was gripped by it. I felt like I did when watching 2001 but mixed with system shock.

Damn that’s pretty high praise especially since 2001 is my fav Kubrick film. It may not be as exploitive as clockwork or as downright disturbing as full metal jacket but it had amazing visuals for it’s time. Atmosphere, and while it did drag for the purpose of pacing and to really get the feel of space. I can really kind of understand the crawling pace of 2001 especially since there is very little to compare it to at its time. Just the original startrek and lost in space. And 2001 looked a lot better than them.

SS1 I also really enjoyed. I guess I’ll look into picking this up sometime although I’m not exactly expecting a system as complex as ss2 shooting robots with a shotgun looks fun.
