King of the Dead on Ironman

Is it actually possible to beat it? Zombies are so fast now and I cannot even outrun them.

Just checked it out, haha wow. Oops! No that's not possible. I added Ironman recently but forgot that zombie speed changes based on the difficult level. Looks like it scales wayy too high when Ironman is on. Will fix that.

By the way, is it possible to get the King of the Dead achievement from the Extras screen?

By the way, what is the requirement for unlocking "King of the Dead"? I thought I had to beat SA's best record (3:25) but I somehow managed to do get the achievement in 4:29.

You have to pick up the crown that the king drops after you kill him. Then you become the "king" of the dead.

Really? That is weird. I remember walking over the crown on several occasions without getting the achievement.

The same function that registers the crown pick up also triggers the achievement, so that can't happen. Maybe you had the achievement to begin with and didn't notice?

No, I definitely did notice the achievement when I unlocked it, as I was trying hard to get it.

I've been trying to unlock this achievement for awhile. At first I thought I had to beat the mini-game on a higher difficulty or get the best time, but after reading I had to acquire the crown I tried to do that. No matter what I do I can't pick up the crown. I walk over it repeatedly and spam buttons on top of it but nothing happens and I just get the "King of the dead defeated" screen with no achievement.

Hm ok that's weird, that really shouldn't happen. Might be a bug with the physics or something, I'll look into it.

OK I just did 3 runs of it and got the crown every time. What OS are you on? We sometimes get these obscure bugs on Linux, doubt that's the case but I have to entertain the possiblity.
