Bug? Cant Complete Bestiary?

So I have completed my first playthrough of this game on Hard mode. However, I am unable to complete the bestiary. I am missing the Fire Crawler entry (#81), I have went through the whole Magma Chamber area and there has not been one Fire Crawler spawned. Help?

Hi! The Fire Crawler is most likely only in the secret section for the area. You'll have to find the secret passage by checking the walls in the dead end rooms. Please let me know if you need anymore help!

Hello, Thank you for your quick response! Is there a potential for more than one secret area? The secret area that I have unlocked in that area only spawns 2 Shamblers and 1 Demon.

Hi I have the same problem, Fire Crawler is no where to be found, also playing Hard and the secret area I got in Magma Chamber also have 2 Shamblers and 1 Demon lol, are we in the same seed?

Sorry to hear that! I just uploaded a hotfix for those starting a new game (there is one guaranteed now shortly after the last save point). If you have an older save and running into the issue just email me your save file and I can fix it so you can get the achievement.

Slightly after starting the game, I noticed I have the fire crawler unlocked in my bestiary.
Completing the game 100%, I never encountered a fire crawler, so I assumed that if the game doesn't spawn a room with a certain enemy it just unlocks that enemy for you in the bestiary.
Guess I was lucky?

Yea, that's how it should work, but there is a rare bug where sometimes the game thinks there's one and it doesn't auto unlock. I couldn't find the cause after debugging so I just added one thats always guaranteed :)

Finally got him (not on my previous run) but on my Mortal run, so now I have unlocked all achievements. Cheers.

Hello,

I am playing on PS4 and have the same issue.
My seed is 2798D886, and I can't find a fire crawler anywhere.

You mentioned there should be one behind the last save game in a secret area, but I can't find any secret areas behind the last save game.

Here is my map of the last area:

Hi! Sorry to hear you're having trouble with it. The secret areas can be before the save room as well, so you should check the rooms up top too.

If you still can't find it, can you please start a brand new game with the same seed, and immediately go to your Bestiary and see if its unlocked. That should help me narrow down the issue.

I can't find the secret room, with the gear on that should make a sound when close to it.
Should there always be a secret room in the last area?
