I found most of the treasure chests early on in the mines level, and found that later levels doesn't have as much chests.
Only faced the Wendigo so far, seemed like an easy enough pattern to dodge but I didn't really care about the few hits I took at the time.
No backtrackign required. EVERY boss (except the final one) has a save room directly before it.
If you really want to grind for that no dmg item, it really won't take much to reload and try again.
Its good damage around silver weapon range, is a knife that swings fast... That's it.
The thing about this game is that input lag is apparent, you can't swing that knife fast unless you press rapidly and in a timely manner, and knives have such a short range that it's useless in certain boss fights.
So I'd say:
Wendigo - Use the strongest fastest moves as it has very easy telegrapthed movesets.
Bone Worm - Use the longest range and play it safe rather than risk, due to the worm's body having a unusual shape making it hard to hit it from the ground level.
I suggest grinding to get gear for MP spamming attacks and doing the most damage with the axe, boomerang, or molotov for the worm, but in most case zero damage fights against the boss is doable, most of the time you are fighting your own controls trying to get the timing down right.
I'm playing on a dualshock 4, and the keyboard is much more responsive but uncomfortable for long sessions, where as the action seen and button pressed with dualshock 4 has input lag and it feels uncomfortable there.
They should have made it so Boss drops can be attained in other ways other than zero damage, because in 2nd and later playthroughs some of these drops are pretty useless.
Never did the bone worm to know what it contains but the wendigo claw is dumb since attack animation in this game is very limited.
For me, Whip is best weapon, then club/2h swords, then spears, then swords, then axes, then knives...
Because later on the enemies will have more mobile movesets when attacking and you have to dodge a lot (Garden boss is annoying to zero damage given the HUGE amount of projectiles it throws out and the flame drop one is particularly annoying to do pixel perfect dodge to get out of the way.)
Easy = 50%
Normal = 100%
Hard = 150%
Because during this test on easy, equipping the early armor already makes me take 1 damage to every enemy in the Mines biome.
When I fought the Wendigo, I hit it about 5-6 times per 'invisible slash' animation the boss did, 3 times, then it rammed the wall and i slashed it 5-6 times think...
I did 16 dmg per slash.
On normal it has about 530~560HP.
On easy it might have been around 400~500HP.
