[BUG] Resolution issues in 1.02a
My monitor has a native resolution of 2560x1440, but this gives me black borders on all 4 sides in fullscreen mode. 1920x1080 however fits my monitor perfectly.
I've triple checked that my settings in Windows are correct and running at 2560x1440. My desktop wallpaper dissapears and goes black after I quit the game as well, so I'm guessing the game changes my monitor resolution when while running.

I have a 4 monitor setup, 2 running 2560x1440 and 2 running 1920x1080, that might be part of the issue, but has never affected any other game.

The game won't fully fit the screen with 2560x1440 using integer scaling. The native resolution is 384x216, so with a 5x scaler you get 1920x1080p. For people with a 4K monitor you can 10x scale it to 3840x2160. We are considering adding a "Stretch" option for those that want to force it, but it can cause unwanted artifacts in the pixel art. Sorry for any confusion.

Ah that explains it, would be nice if there was some kind of symbol or description next to "optimal" resolutions. I can just as well play in 1080p, but it was confusing.

Great suggestion, thanks!

I have a monitor with 3440x1440 resolution, so given the nature of this game, i fully expected some black bars. And since i don't want to to see my desktop while playing, i set Fullscreen to on. However, in fullscreen, the Scale has no effect, and while I do get black bars on the sides, the image is cut off at the top and bottom. I tried all resolutions, but the image is either cut off or vertically compressed (and the aspect ratio broken). Is there anything I can do to fix this? Otherwise could you please do something to fix this on your end?

We are looking into a "Fit to Screen" option for a future patch, sorry for the inconvenience!

I'm on version 1.02c and having the same problem as Frettman, fullscreen with 3440x1440 resolution causes the top and bottom of the game screen to be cut off and changing the scale number doesn't do anything. I don't really want the option to stretch the game to fit the screen, I just want the black bars on the left and right and the game screen to not be cut off. Setting the game to 1920x1080 already causes the game to stretch to fill the screen, but I'd really rather not have the game stretched.
