Game breaking glitch

Once i enter the rip that leads to the jungle I can no longer interact with anything. So not only can I not pick up any of the required items in that area but i also can't walk back through the rip to leave. Anyone got any idea whats going on?

I have the same problem. The only thing I can do is talk to the seagull/voodoo lady. I've noticed that when I turn "Pop up text" on, the game immediately crashes as soon as I mouse over any of the required items. But if I have "Pop up text" off, it won't crash, but I can't interact with anything. I can't even go back through the rip. The game is broken.

I found a solution that worked for me and allowed me to beat the game:
Go into the game's folder named "Pack" and remove the file "env_flotsamJungleNightClearing.dlg". I did that and the game worked normally again and allowed me to progress. Good luck.
