While it doesn't bother me too much, as long as you act in good intentions... there are those who will abuse the power to decrypt the game files...

As for legality, I'm not so sure that what you're saying is true. To intentionally bypass protections put in place to keep copyrighted materials safe... is illegal. The same way that bypassing a DRM-protection is illegal, surely? Do you have any literature on the subject?

Fair enough, but I have no ill intentions. If you're that worried though I would look into a better form of copy protection.

Besides, using assets from someone's game is one thing, but stealing assets from a commercial game is a whole different territory. I may be up for a thrill, but even I'm not stupid enough to steal commercial assets.

1) This is not program code or game assets. This is commentary(!!!!!). If you dont want see your commentary - you need delete it before compile.
2) Promo-codes is cheats. I give official cheats to you. You can use it, or not - it your bisness.

While I don't encourage this kind of behaviour, I'm certainly very aware of how inevitable hacking/piracy is. Discretion is definitely appreciated :)

As in when are they available in the game? When you spawn in the main city and the ref guy asks if you want to enter some promo codes. If you mean they're not working after implementing them though, not sure. I know Ross has been going through some different builds and I haven't checked through any of those lately.
