A bit stuck and not sure what to do now
So, on my second run, I was planning on going the revolution route but I'm a bit stuck.

I built the nursery but shot the thief guy and the pickpocket kid during an event where they tried to steal from me (didn't know it would kill them when I succeeded) so I don't know how to get any orphans for the nursery.

I have the blueprint of revolution but am not sure what to do with it, and I only have 1 troop unit, indignant crowd, so I was worried about kicking off a revolution early.

I helped Riel raid the naked tea party and got a ton of evidence but don't know what to do with any of it, also I already killed the vizer with a gold bloodshed so not sure if it would even do anything.

So, I'm just passing turns at this point and nothing is really happening, what would be the next step from here?

I believe you can use the blueprint of revolution to start the revolution? As long as you have a single troop (and helping Riel should give you a troop), you're good to go, since the actual battles check your followers stats.

Ah, so you only need 1 troop. And where should I use the blueprint? during the time sultan is away or do I just use it when I visit him each day?

Did you have the secret meeting to discuss rebellion with Nawfal? If so, it should be in the lower left hand corner of the map, bringing up all the sultan's armies and a slot for either the gold conquest or golden conviction to rebel.

yes i have that, would putting the gold conquest in there kick off the rebellion? and is the blueprint for rebellion the gold conviction or something else?
Gillias Apr 14 @ 12:55am
Gold conquest will kick off the rebellion, although I'm not sure Riel joins you if you do it that way. Blueprint of rebellion is half of the final conviction, "road to revolution", but the way I hear it you can use either half as well.

Edit: the other half is "regicide plot", made by fusing 3 silver "intent to rebel".

time to assault the palace.

Drag the evidence to methinks!

Ok, jumped back in. I was never able to use flames of revolution, I think I need to combine it with something else. I had a blue intent to rebel and 2 green freedom of fear cards but can't do anything with them. I used the gold conquest card to kick off the rebellion, it worked and Riel did join me with 4 more troops. Although I didn't realize I could use them in the first battle and just used myself and my followers, and my guy ended up wounded in the very first fight so couldn't participate till the final fight against the sultan. I really felt I over-prepared for the final battle, I had like 20 successes on each battle when I only needed like 5.

Anyway, on to the next run. I never did figure out how to escape the city, I think because the explorer woman just wandered off into the desert and there wasn't anything I could do to stop her. I also never found the key to the city gates.

I was also never able to upgrade Maggie to gold, I got her to silver using a silver jewelry to fix her resentment, but it only worked once, so I guess I have to start with her as silver from the get go.

Sounds like some mini-goals to achieve: Finding where to escape to/how to escape the gates! I find setting mini-goals like this help keep each run fresh and focused
Blueprint of Revolution is meant to be combined with Regicide plot to have more advanced version of Regicide plot where you actually have a plan besides just killing the sultan(you can start revolution with just regicide plot or gold conquest card)

As for orphans for nursery, yeaaah, you kinda needed to keep Alim and Helim alive so that you get the quest to deal with White Belly the human traficcer.

As for escaping city, here is a hint: there are two locations you can escape for(you likely have idea of one of them, second one is from adventuring location) and multiple different ways to get pass the gate. I've seen three, I think two of them were scientist lady's inventions and third I got as reward from one of royal harem members(it could be used during revolution too as a scheme).

(evidence just makes the stone tier guard captain guy you see at court periodically try to bring you to justice)

How do you get the inventions from the science lady? I funded her 2 research projects (the telescope and the mana potions or whatever they were, never found a use for them) and then she joined me as a follower and I never had any more interactions with her.

She is one of followers with methinks interactions (like the tailor lady, jeweler lady, poet and dancer from top of my head) She actually had a LOT of different things she can invent.

You can give one to person (Riel?) who shows up wounded at the door.

Other than that try giving them to Habib to use in cooking. I believe the meal he makes of them gives 1 Physique and 1 Charisma (for up to 4 people).

oh dang, I tried methinks with all the regular followers and it didn't really result in anything so I didn't try her since she joins you later. dang I wish there was some icon or something that showed a card has methinks usability. I've got so many cards by the end game that I barely notice new stuff half the time.

Yeah but you can also give her healing herbs from valley and waters of life is VERY powerful item. Like, there are at least two very interesting or funny uses for them in very specific rituals due to waters of life being strong enough to do things like restoring a limb after amputation x'D

But yeah huh didn't even think of trying to use waters of life in cooking, gotta try that (yeah forgot, Habbs the cook is also one of methink interaction crafting followers)
