ok is the Rod of life a trap of death sentence? how do you deal with it

I'm not sure what you did, but the Sultan didn't kill me for using it. At first he was offended that such a tool wasn't given to him, then he demanded to watch me use it publicly.

I think there are 3 ways and I can confirm at least one of them. 1. Get the phantom pain event before the Sultan's request and remove the rod. You should be able to present it without having to use it. Must get lucky on that one. 2. If you got the gold carnality card, I think this is the time to use it and get the fate point for using the rod on the Sultan. Extremely difficult to time obviously. 3. I hope you have the twins, select your twin as recipient. This counts as humiliation since the MC is getting boned and the Sultan always finds it amusing when you are humiliating yourself. I have done this and the Sultan just lets you go without consequences afterwards.

I just brought my wife with me and used it on her. The sultan was pleased and didn't bother me about it for the rest of my run.
