How to break Gold Cards? - Part 2 + spoilers
Gold Conquest: ???
I heard you can feed one to kill Sama's father. But is it timed? Or you progress with Sama and then you leave that on the map till you get the Gold card? If you have time the event so that you will get the Gold card at the right time, it is very hard.

Gold Bloodshed: I heard you can use one on Sama's father (which means you wouldn't be able to use gold conquest there...) and I have used one to kill a gold minister. I have heard that you can theoretically use a gold bloodshed in something to do with the mad concubine's child that is supposed to be the illegitimate son of the Sultan but it is not

Gold Extravagance: If it comes early-ish, you can use one to do some lavish upgrade to your villa. Apparently, you can also use it, if it arrives at the right time, to buy some stuff the inventor makes... but good luck timing that.

Gold Carnality: There's one gold concubine which I have used this on without issues and without the Sultan skinning me alive.
The only other gold char is the Sultan and I doubt he will accept that card...

The easy ones:
Silver and below carnality: My wife is silver, no issues there.
Stone-everything: Auto things that show up.
Silver Bloodshed: Ministers. Bronze Bloodshed is actually harder for me. X-D

Two options to get Gold followers that I know of, which both let you use Gold Carnality and Bloodshed:

1) Upgrading wife Maggie to Gold:
- Get Wife's Repulsion from doing stuff that disgusts her (easiest is visiting the House of Delights, but there are many others)
- Put Repulsion on the thinking skeleton, get event Resolve Wife's Repulsion
- Resolve that event by giving her fancy jewelry*; acceptable items will show up when you click the event's item slot. Item will be lost.
(This only works once, even if you have more than one acceptable piece of jewelry.)

*Obtaining luxury jewelry: 2 methods:
- put an Extravagance card (I think any level works) on the thinking skeleton to get an event to upgrade your house. Resolve it and choose to rent out an extra room. After a little while, a foreign merchant will come to use the room to set up his shop every so often; this merchant offers special items, including a Gold level accessory called "Dreamers' Necklace". (worth grabbing anyway, good stat bonuses)
- get enough Fate points by fulfilling 1001 Nights achievements to buy the jeweler Jenna in the Fate Shop and activate her for the new run. With a roll check of 7+, she will craft Gold rank jewelry, any of which will work (and can be crafted again).

2) Upgrading prostitute Shama:
- Get 3 points of Passion with her by visiting her at the House of Delights, with or without any card, and passing the check
- She will eventually ask you for help with her father. Choose the option to kill him. (The other option doesn't work for this, she joins your household but remains Silver level)
- This triggers a timed event (must be started within 20 turns) which requires the Gold Conquest card; I don't remember for sure but I think I got a game over execution from not completing it because it was too bold a move to announce and then not follow through. It takes 3 turns (so long as you started it in time, you won't lose from Sultan Card countdown). You don't have to send your protag but you will also need a Troop* and high Combat, though it's not a super hard check.
- After victory, you get 2 options; I'm not sure what taking it for yourself does (it takes 28 turns and I never got to the end of that), but picking Shama will have her upgrade to Gold and join your followers after a few turns.
NB: victory also gets you a silver rank Steed and an Intent to Rebel! It's tricky to time well enough to manage, but super worth it.

I don't know about using a Bloodshed card, there's no point in this chain of events where you can do that; maybe with the other options to Shama's request? Maybe if you take her in her dad eventually shows up mad about it...? Anyone know?

*Getting a Troop: complete Jabbal's desert adventures quest, then use the obtained amulet of winds on the thinking skeleton for an event to summon a tornado.
You can also randomly get a volunteer troop of power 8, I think from having high Good Fame.

Gold Extravagance:

1) Like you said, upgrading your house; you can actually do that with any Extravagance, but only once, and the rewards are in consequence.

2) Gold Bird: a random event will have a visitor bring a golden bird to the Sultan. If you say it's worth its weight in gold, you will get the option to buy it for 30 coins, with or without the Golden Extravagance card. There's a countdown (7 days? 10 days? IDR) but despite the Sultan's words, I didn't have anything happen when I just didn't buy it at all.
I haven't found a use for it besides offering it to the Sultan (which doesn't really do anything).
Hard to time.

3) Inventor Mahir is actually a convenient method eventually:
- She automatically shows up with timed requests, where you can optionally use cards (I don't remember the levels). No negative effects to ignoring these, they'll re-trigger eventually, so you can time it relatively easily if you want.
- After completing all of these (2 or 3? I think they don't even need to be successful -- but success nets you really useful items), she will ask to join your followers.
- Put her on the thinking skeleton to have her invent random other stuff, including ways to open the palace gate in the rebellion event and a Gold rank hot hair balloon, which you can use a Gold card on to put in the Hall of Wonders/Rare Treasures. (Apparently you can also get the Rod of Life from her with high rogue notoriety, but I haven't managed yet so I don't know what rank it is.)
Careful, her invention process takes 7 days! Do that BEFORE drawing your card!

4) Hall of treasures: Some items can be put on the thinking skeleton to trigger an option to create an exhibition hall which regularly gives you benefits; you can do that at any time once you've obtained the item, and optionally use an Extravagance card then.
The Hot Air Balloon is one of those, so you can just have Mahir create it and then wait for whenever you draw the card.
Another Gold rank treasure is the statue obtained at the end of the Gold Shama chain above.

Like you said, you can use all Carnalities on the Sultan's concubines (or the Stone level slave), and all Bloodshed on his ministers, but they must be the exact corresponding rank*. Silver on Sadani triggers a cool chain of quests. I'm not sure of the exact steps to get to kill her child, but it's got to be there, probably if you refuse to help her and try to use it to your advantage instead.
Bringing a conquest to the court just gets you killed for being unfunny, though I've heard that you might be able to use Gold Conquest and/or Bloodshed when rebelling against him...? It doesn't work just on its own, at any rate.
I've not found a way to use Gold Carnality on the Sultan, but the 1001 Nights achievements hint that this will be possible at some point...

*Important note: The Sultan will sometimes decide that the action isn't entertaining enough to break a card if you've done something similar before (boooring!). This usually fricks me up with Gold cards, eg I've had him refuse to let me use Gold Bloodshed on his minister bc I'd done it before with a Silver rank. I don't remember if he lets you use Carnality on all his concubines, but he definitely lets you trigger the Sadani event regardless of this.
I've also had this happen when I tried to use Gold Carnality on Shama; unsure if that was because of already using a Carnality on Shama at the House of Delights, or because of already doing a "Sexual perversion at home" with another character.

Other tips:
- Conquest: you can actually use Silver on the two Bronze brothers criminals that show up on the map!
There are also opportunities for Conquest cards late in the Quais quest chain (necessary to proceed, and iirc it has to be Silver or Bronze), if you free him from prison and act righteous, and for Conquest and Bloodshed in noble widow Fatuna's quest chain (optional).

- Bloodshed: Getting 3 Passion with prostitute Jalila will eventually trigger a chain of events. If you choose to help her, then have her keep her job, random events will regularly trigger where you can use Bloodshed cards on random characters; I've seen Stone to Silver characters. (If you don't use a card, you get 1 Influence instead, so it's p good in general.)
You can also kill imprisoned characters with Bloodshed as many times as you want, just pay 2 gold to reopen it.

you can upgrade the wife to gold tier by using the dreamers necklace and then you use her for gold tier carnality and bloodshed

Wait, when they say "Troop", don't they mean someone with combat? It is a specific follower?
That soldier that is Sadani's secret boyfriend, isn't "Troop"?

Is there a way to get so much passion with prostitutes WITHOUT causing your wife to go berserk?

I have that foreign merchant in my silver-decorated mansion. I never get the option to have him make jewels.

Thank you, thanks a ton.

Oh so THAT'S where you get a second horse. Thanks.

EDIT: You also get a "mechanical horse" from funding the inventor.

No, combat skill has nothing to do with it.

you can use gold bird and gold extravagance on nyla's(vainglorious woman) 3rd chain but its too hard and after that she turns into gold tier but the 4th chain requires you to have 8 influence so that she becomes your ally???
