Pelegosto Glitch

I´m stuck in the story mode in Pelegosto. Right after the great downfall when you have to get the dog a bone, cross the water, build a bridge and carry a pile of wood over that bridge.
Once any of the available characters takes the pile of wood, it won´t be able to jump any more. He just makes a strange twitching movement when I press the jump command and that´s it.
That means I can´t get on the bridge and it´s more or less game over.
Any idea of what I can try to get around that glitch?

Thank you, was indeed the same issue and made me give it another try.

The proposed solution did not work for me, but I found another one:

"Drop the crate close to the bridge, jump on the bridge and grab the crate again."

Simple but effective :)

(Don´t drop the crate onto the bridge. If you do that the crate will disappear and appear again in the original spot)
