Your game is crashing? This might help.
Hello guys.

I have Windows 10 and recently bought LEGO Pirates and it keep crashing when I started playing in the second chapter of the Dead Man's Chest. I install Direct X as I read in a post here but nothing changed.

The only thing that worked was to "solve the problem of compatibilty". Windows has a wizard where you run the game like it was Win7. Once I did that, it never crashed again, so, I hope you try this solution in case your game is still crashing even when you think you have already done everything possible.

If you have any doubts, ask pls.

See ya!

Put (-dxlevel 90 -32bit -heapsize 2048) on initial options, this STOP ALL BUGS.

I'm having W10 and tried with W7 but still keeps crashing.. also I didn't understand what to install from that DirectX folder, there are so many things..

ROGOT's suggestion I tried, it bought me more time but the crashes still happen. I'm pretty sure I have DirectX 9 already because of other games and I run Civ. V DirectX 9 version because it runs better on my computer. Compatibilty doesn't help a lot of the time with Steam games as there might be another underlying issue. However I'd suggest trying it as that might be the issue for you personally.

It works for me, and thank you for the tip. But I can't (under)stand that Steam is still selling games with issues on Windows10.

This really helped and the solution actually helped, I can now play crash free

Edit: well it's not completely crash free as I have found out from quite a bit of playing but it has made the crashes a lot less regular so you can actually get progress done, though depending on how long you are in a mission it may still crash. Meaning for those who have had the same result as me, it's playable now for those willing to tolerate a crash every so often and are quick enough in the game but the crashes are still there and could frustrat some still.
So basically it can work but be warned that you will have to test it first to make sure it completely worked or just slowed the crashes down.
