Not the first to do it... Valve did it back when they released Portal 2 on PS3. Surprised more games don't take advantage of PSN/Steam integration.
Apparently Portal 2 was an exception.
Can you please explain me why?
If most developers are not making cross-platform multiplayer, then I guess, there is some problem with it.
But I can't see what the problem is, since it is the same version of game running multiplayer throug the same Internet )
(I heard something about DOA5 on PS3 have cross-platform multiplayer with DOA5+ of PS vita, so I guess, even different versions of game is not an issue here).
It's just an example.
I do wish we can play crossplatform, so i can play with my friends who have PS3/4.
I assume you wrote "can't" by accident... that game does have cross play support. There's been many Vita games like Dragon's Crown that have cross play with PS3. Guilty Gear Xrd even has PS3/PS4 cross play.
But PS3 to PS4 crossplay is WAY easier for them to pull off than PS3/4 to Steam, I'm sure.
