Tekken and Dead or Alive copy each other?

If you honestly think that DoA is similar to Tekken gameplay-wise, then every 3D fighter is similar.

Tekken feels more like a button mashing classic fighter while DoA feels smoother and is far more timing based with counters. These games literally couldnt feel any more different.

nope, both games have very different systems, DOA has the rock paper scissors system, while tekken has its own limb-based attack system.

Two wrestlers but they look nothing alike outside of their wrestling uniforms.
Ana and Lei Fang are nothing alike.
Nina and Rachel might have a similar faces but besides that are nothing alike.
Two black character... that's all that is similar.
Two old strong big Japanese badasses. They can't help but look similar. I wonder who would win.
Two old people with similar yet different fighting style.
I could almost give you nyotengu and Eliza. but nyotengu has wings and isn't a vampire.

You're comparisons are pretty off.

While Jaycee and La Mariposa are both grapplers, Jaycee is a considerably better striker.
I have no clue how you matched Anna Williams with Lei Fang.
Nina does have chain throws, but is an all around fighter while Rachel is a brute strength grappler.
Raven is clearly Blade while Zach is a kick boxing Dennis Rodman. Like Bruce would have been a closer comparison.

I could go on, but I'm kind of can't after the first half of the comparisons consisted of some superficial/archetypal similarities at best. Next thing you're going to think every game is copying the other when you realize almost every fighting game has an homage to Bruce Lee.

But i am talking about visuals though, they have plenty of look like characters. Yeah i was wrong about they being similar in gameplay, i never played DoA, just Tekken, so i was only guessing.
