You're asking where they go when you take them? There should be a window that Steam pops up with them all when you exit the game. Then you can upload them from there or have it open the directory on your computer that they were saved to.

I think theyre talking about the in game photo mode. Not steam's screenshots.

The in game photo mode directs you to Steam screenshots when you go to look at your album. It does the same thing on the PS4, where it uses the system screenshot structure rather than save them in game.
