Random Filter not working

In options there is a section 'Random Filter"
I've disabled (unchecked) most of the female characters in that section.
Yet, when I pick random fights in fight mode, arcade and the other modes, the game
seems to ignore the de-selection I made in the random filter for characters I didn't want chosen for the random AI pool.


I'm trying to match up the characters I play, (females) with mostly male random AI opponents.
Failing.

I searched here on forums before posting but have yet to find anyone posting on this issue.

Anyone else try this yet and find same bad result? Or am I doing something wrong?

It is working for me at least. I have all the characters who have all their costumes unlocked already deselected. Then I play random and have only gotten characters that still need outfits unlocked...but maybe I did not test enough.

EDIT: OOOH are you talking about opponents! I don't think it is for opponents, just for when YOU pick random.

Ah, damn, Okay, well that explains it then.
Futz, there should be the kind of filter to limit random opponents. Eh, maybe next version.

I just wish we could limit the costumes they were wearing. Limiting the opponents is kinda cheating(nep! not accusing OP of cheating, he had good reasons!)...but costumes are purely cosmetic so limiting them should be ok. And I'm tired of Santa suits. Some of the men's halloween gear is also really annoying.

But those Santa suits....ugh.

Agree, I d like to disable santas and haloween too (especially Jan Lee crocodile :/ ).. Unfortunately i dont think we can

I can't believe I'm actually unhappy they gave us free costumes for the delay. Every day is NOT Halloween/Christmas, and if I face one more drunken Brad santa I'm going to scream. :P

In older games (2) I seem to remember they would only wear their default costumes unless you started the match with a different button. Man I miss that already.

Yeah I'm there with you about the free costumes. it's tough cause I do like some of them but because they are all bundled together I don't want to disable the DLC.

Drunken Brad santa is the ONLY one I want to stay in the game. He's the only funny one.

Really hope they include a filter option as a patch or someone can work out the location of the costumes so i can lock/remove the awful ones!

Try Versus CPU against a random opponent instead of Arcade, it'll follow your filter. At the end of the match pick "Fight Again" and it'll choose another random character/stage.
