Where are photos taken in movie mode saved?
In game, if you go to EXTRAS > MOVIES and load up a "defeat" movie, you can toggle a "photo mode" that supposedly allows you to take screenshots. When you take a photo, it gives the option to save each one. Oddly, I can NOT find where these are saved, if at all. It sure as heck isn't anywhere in the Program Files (x86) > Steam > userdata > (numbers only folders).

I've checked both my main steam folder on my C:\ drive as welll as my larger steam game folder on my D:\ drive and can't find any of the screen caps. Since I can't find a way to make the interface go away to use F12 to screen cap, I don't know else to do to snap a silly little pic (other than FRAPS or something.)

Is it really that much of a pain in the ♥♥♥ to get a good screen cap? Where the heck are those pics being "saved" to? Does anyone know what file format they are saved as?

hey, there.

The files are saved in this folder

C:\Users\[YOUR_USERNAME]\Documents\KoeiTecmo\DOA5LR\[RANDOM_NUMBERS]\REPLY_SAVE

Sadly, that information is incorrect. I can find the KoeiTecmo\DOA5LR\[randomnumbers] folders, but there isn't a reply_save folder in either my C:Documents nor D:Documents. Only SAVE_SYS.DAT. Thus far, the only way I've managed to get ANY screenshots is the old crappy F12 method... I've yet to see any indication that the "photo mode" actually saves photos anywhere.

No, it can't be. AFAIK there haven't been any patches that changed the location. The replays are all there. Are you certain that you've saved replays?

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood, I should've read your question properly. You're looking for the photos. Photos are saved in the same folder as screenshots. You can access them by going to your screenshot option in Steam or by going here:

your drive:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\STEAM USER ID\760\remote\311730\screenshots
The Internal Jun 16, 2015 @ 5:29am
That information is also incorrect. As stated in my original comment, there are no new images from using "photo mode" in userdata\STEAM USER ID #\760\remote\NUMBERED FOLDER\Screenshots. The only images there are from the crappy F12 method.

Your photos from photo mode will be saved there. Both of them have the same save location. If you still cannot find them, go to
  • Steam library
  • scroll down to Dead or Alive 5 Last Round
  • in the Dead or Alive 5 Last Round tab, scroll down, at the bottom you'll find your screenshots

Photo mode doesn't work if you have your steam overlay is not activated.

No dice on that one either.
My steam overlay is active, but the only photos that show up anywhere are those taken with the F12 method. There is no evidence of the photos taken in "photo mode" being saved to the drive anywhere.
IF the other methods work for other people, that makes me wonder if my user-made mods and a modded .ini file are to blame for screwing with the photo mode.

That means you didn't take any pictures. If you're playing with an xbox 360 controller and are in spectator mode, press X to activate the photo mode and press RB to take a picture.

Incorrect.
I'm well aware of how to take a picture with a controller. I wouldn't be getting a screen asking if I would like to save the picture if I didn't, yes?
I'm taking pictures, I'm telling it to save them. It says they save them. They aren't being saved / I can't find where they are saved. I wouldn't be posting a thread here for something as asinine as not hitting a button.
Perhaps post your .INI settings so I can compare to mine?

The issue is apparently a side effect of one the mods. That was not an expected side effect of having silly user-made costumes.

It is you. No wonder your stuff doesn't work. Steam doesn't even properly recognize your game. (=_=)'|| How do you expect things to work properly if you mod the game literally beyond recognition?

two mods ain't much. I run Skyrim with 50+ and fewer issues than this.

But you exchanged the .exe, right? That means that you are technically running a different program, not the game you bought on Steam. Aside from that, Skyrim was meant to be modded. The game was created in a way that you could easily mod everything there. This is not Skyrim.

launcher.exe and one dll are modded.
