That's the one I got. Ultimate content was missing stuff and skins didn't good enough to justify the cost. You're better off getting some of the other ones on sale.
DoA5LR dlc: what things are in the Ultimate Content Set that are not in the Tropical Paradise Costume & Movie Set? And what things are in the second one that aren't in the first one?
I got the following answer:
The Ultimate Content Set and the Tropical Paradise Costume & Movie Set for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR) contain different content:
Ultimate Content Set includes[3][5]:
- School Uniforms costumes
- Hot Getaway costumes
- Various other costume and movie sets from DOA5 Ultimate
- Total of 237 items
Tropical Paradise Costume & Movie Set includes[2][4]:
- 12 Hot Getaway costumes
- 14 Ultimate Sexy costumes
- 14 Tropical Sexy costumes
- 4 Tropical costumes
- 10 Tropical costumes for Honoka and Marie Rose
- 16 movies
- Total of 54 swimsuits and 16 movies
Unique to Ultimate Content Set:
- School Uniforms costumes
- Various other costume sets not specified in Tropical Paradise
Unique to Tropical Paradise Set:
- Ultimate Sexy costumes
- Tropical Sexy costumes
- Tropical costumes
- Specific costumes for Honoka and Marie Rose
- 16 movies (not mentioned in Ultimate Content Set)
The Hot Getaway costumes appear to be included in both sets, though the exact number may differ.

I will, however say the following. You might find it helpful or not. And if I'm wrong somebody can correct me:
So if I want to use Beach Paradise, I already have the means to do that. I would have been willing to pay to support the product but if they are going to arbitrarily make it impossible to get some content... well I already had it before I even bought the game on Steam, I just preferred a legit copy.
Anyway, that's me done. I'm glad you wrote the post, I would not have been aware of the sale otherwise, and it prompted me to do the research once and for all.
Thanks for letting us know. I think there is only one set of DLC movies, pretty sure they are the same movies in both sets. There is a lot of overlap but you spenz your moneyz.
If you want the best version of DOA5LR, get it on Xbox One or PS4.
I'm not sure what you're referring to. I have it on PS4, and now on PS5 (I can't see any difference so the PS5 isn't enhancing the game in any way)
There is visible (but understandable) aliasing in the character models, especially in the end of match close-up. The game does still look very good scaled up from 1080p to 4k even with it's PS4 graphics.
But the game looks vastly superior on PC with native 4k. Everything is smoother and aliasing is basically non-existent. And sometimes I run frame generation to get the game to 120FPS and that looks even better. On PC you have options.
On Steam, the game regularly goes on sale and when it does pretty much all the DLC (or all the DLC that matters) goes 50% off. On PlayStation they discount DLC here and there, not often at all and never more than one or two at a time. OTOH (on PlayStation) there are single outfits available which AFIAK you can't do on PC. So I have the Gust swimsuit for Ayane, the Genie outfit for Marie Rose and the Breakable Flower bikini for Naotora all bought separately, no need to buy a whole pack of you only want one outfit. But not all of them are available and it's a real mess to figure out what you want. And there are a lot of DLC listed in the PlayStation store you can't buy so I don't know why it's even showing up.
And that's what prompted me to buy in on Steam rather than wasting time trying to work out what DLC I wanted in the PlayStation store.
The PC version is moddable and I make my own mods now, the are on Deviant Art under the same username.
Aside from that gameplay is identical. I even play with the same controller and I've played about 100 hours on each. So I'm genuinely curious as to why you think the console version is superior to the PC version.
Yes, but saying what is not included is not the same thing as saying what is included. And with the other pack it quotes the same number but also does not say what movies are included. So between the two sets it is very unclear what you actually get in terms of movies. If they are going to make it that hard to work out what you get, they aren't getting my money, and as I said, I'm not paying for an incomplete set, no matter who is and isn't in it.
Whoever told you that was incorrect. It's simply not true. At 1080p they are visually identical, except on PC you could probably fix the aliasing but on playstation you have no options at all. If you are seeing inferior graphics on the PC there is something wrong with your setup or you are using very old hardware. DOA6 looks awful (shiny, over-saturated, blown out highlights) on the PS4. I've never tried it on the PS5 or PC and I don't have any inclination to try. The notion that the PS4 version is somewhat similar to DOA6 is just plain wrong.
I can only think of one stage on PlayStation that isn't on PC - the night time beach party scene. It's a bit of a shame but I don't care that much. There may be others, if so I didn't notice. I have a pretty limited set of locations I play on in my randomiser in VS mode and that's how I play most of the time.
