Yeah she hits hard, but she's always seems horribly telegraphed to me as a playable character
DoA's standard mechanics against spams is holds (that's directional input + the A-button on the xbox controller, I think). A lot of moves are chains of three attacks. Often times, these chains are either all against the head, or all against the mid-region, or all against the legs, making them predictable even for beginners. Every hold requires a different directional input to work, so midlevel punches require a different directional input than midlevel kicks.
In order to figure out what chain you're doing, people let you hit them once or twice, and then hold you on the third attack. A hold causes a massive amount of damage, much more than your normal punches or kicks. Though holds aren't that easy, they're also not that hard to do, making spamming in DoA hard. XD
She does have some really big combos that are easy to learn, but she definitely has some huge disadvantages.
She can't do rising kicks when knocked down. She's the most light-weight character, so she's the easiest to do juggles on. While her combos do a lot of damage, she doesn't really have many of them which makes her sorta predictable-ish. She's also been nerfed quite a lot in Last Round. She USED to be pretty OP in previous games. Now she's not only balanced. I would even say she's honestly not that great. If you want an OP character vs cpu that takes little skill, use NyoTengu's wind blast or pretty much almost any of Hayabusa's teleport attacks.
