95% of the mods I own do not work with Autolink?
They simply just don't show up, and these are relatively new mods created by Huchi. Am I supposed to use something else to install these mods? I've tried around 20 so far and only 2 of them worked, with 1 of them being just a hairstyle.

If you want to use alone the hairstyle you need to put a @ before the name and it has to be localizated in your girl name folder, but not inside any costume folder.

Did you follow the steam guide to make the mods work?

I keep all my mods as they are, I got some from Huchi's WIP folder and I think to install them I just put them in the AutoLink folder. The hairstyles have an @ prefix already but none of the costumes work apart from one.

Can you give me an example of a mod's folder that you use?
Zloth Nov 14, 2018 @ 7:19pm
I go over it extensively in my guide:

Plus a lot more.

Yeah, that's what I've done and they just don't work. I can confirm that a very few amount of mods, 2 or 3 work but that's it. The other 10-ish just don't work.
I got a Taki mod and this file has two hairstyle files along with it. I can replace the prefix of the hairstyles to @ and the hair alone would work, but with its default prefix along with the outfit files, it doesn't work.
Zloth Nov 15, 2018 @ 7:41pm
The @ just makes it global so the hair style can appear in every costume slot.

Could you try taking a screenshot of one of your directories with all the files in it and post that? Preferably one that has at least one of the working mods in it.

I kind of gave up on trying to get the mods to work and figured it wasn't worth all the hassle, so uhhh sorry, no can do. I appreciate the help though, or the attempt rather.

Zloths guide really should be all u need to be honest

would it help if i made a video on my channel or something that u could follow to get it working?

its really not as complicated as it seems. U just download autolink and put it into the DOA5 folder and add a new folder for autolink itself were the folders will go (u have to make those yourself) and add o1 for costumes that will be 01 slot and so on.

I can do a video if enough people ask for it but its REALLY not that hard.

Im sure if zloth wanted to they could add a new page in the link were they could download the uncompressed autolink file so people could just drag it into there own folder and then simply just drag mods they want into 01 folder or 02

I don't think you people are understanding. I've followed the guide completely and the mods don't work. It's not that none of the mods work, out of about 20 I've tried, 2 of them worked fine but the rest didn't.

were are u getting the mods off and how u r installing them.

i can only guess u goofed up somewere coz ive tested several new mods out today and everythings worked perfectly

which autolink did u download?
Prøxy Dec 1, 2018 @ 3:50am
Autolink V3.30,and I downloaded them off Huchi's patreon's WIP folder
I simply installed them by dragging the files into like AutoLink/NAOTORA but that didn't work so I was making all kinds of folders 01, 02 and putting each mod seperately into them but that didn't work. I think it's the modder's fault rather than a problem with AutoLink or something like that.

right its clearly your fault then.
U downloaded the wrong files and placed then in the wrong folders.

u dont drag files into NAO folder. U make NEW folders in NAO folder labelled 01 for the 1st costume, 02 for 2nd.

im not sure that autolinks the right one either as i dont think mines 3.30

Mate, that's what I did. Read what I said properly.
Zloth Dec 1, 2018 @ 1:27pm
If the folders were wrong then none would work.

It could be there's a bad mod in there. The game starts loading them and the ones before the bad mod work while the ones after the bad mod break. You might try this:

1. Copy your AutoLink folder somewhere as a backup.
2. Go into your AutoLink folder and remove all the mods - even the ones that worked.
3. Get a simple mod from StreetModders on DeviantArt. Try installing just that one mod.
4. If it works, start adding mods back in from your backup one by one and see when it stops working. If it doesn't work, then my theory is wrong.
