Did you follow the steam guide to make the mods work?
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1136603335
Plus a lot more.
I got a Taki mod and this file has two hairstyle files along with it. I can replace the prefix of the hairstyles to @ and the hair alone would work, but with its default prefix along with the outfit files, it doesn't work.
Could you try taking a screenshot of one of your directories with all the files in it and post that? Preferably one that has at least one of the working mods in it.
would it help if i made a video on my channel or something that u could follow to get it working?
its really not as complicated as it seems. U just download autolink and put it into the DOA5 folder and add a new folder for autolink itself were the folders will go (u have to make those yourself) and add o1 for costumes that will be 01 slot and so on.
I can do a video if enough people ask for it but its REALLY not that hard.
Im sure if zloth wanted to they could add a new page in the link were they could download the uncompressed autolink file so people could just drag it into there own folder and then simply just drag mods they want into 01 folder or 02
i can only guess u goofed up somewere coz ive tested several new mods out today and everythings worked perfectly
which autolink did u download?
I simply installed them by dragging the files into like AutoLink/NAOTORA but that didn't work so I was making all kinds of folders 01, 02 and putting each mod seperately into them but that didn't work. I think it's the modder's fault rather than a problem with AutoLink or something like that.
right its clearly your fault then.
U downloaded the wrong files and placed then in the wrong folders.
u dont drag files into NAO folder. U make NEW folders in NAO folder labelled 01 for the 1st costume, 02 for 2nd.
im not sure that autolinks the right one either as i dont think mines 3.30
It could be there's a bad mod in there. The game starts loading them and the ones before the bad mod work while the ones after the bad mod break. You might try this:
1. Copy your AutoLink folder somewhere as a backup.
2. Go into your AutoLink folder and remove all the mods - even the ones that worked.
3. Get a simple mod from StreetModders on DeviantArt. Try installing just that one mod.
4. If it works, start adding mods back in from your backup one by one and see when it stops working. If it doesn't work, then my theory is wrong.
mate thats what i did, read the guide properly
seriously i just uninstalled the DOA5 folder on my pc and did exactly as zloth said in his guide and it works perfectly
i dunno wtf ur doing but i cant see how it can be made any more simpler unless one of us comes to your house and does it for u
