How do I use controller and mouse combo?

I bought this game on PC after 100 percenting it on PS5. I've heard from tons of people online that you can use controller for movement and mouse for aiming, but I've found nothing on how to do so. I love this game to death (hence the 100% on PS5), but dodging with keyboard is terribly designed and aiming with controller feels braindead since they give you auto aim (plus, having played like 200 hours on console the mouse aim makes the game feel fresh).

Is there anything I can do in the steam/game settings that let me use the left joystick with a mouse for aiming? I'm also willing to download mods that would get the job done, too.
