Badge - Officer died, hung game when talked to

As title suggests, when the officer died, I talked to him and his speech bubble appeared briefly. As soon as it became full, it dissappeared and left me stuck as if I was talking to him. This was a run I really wanted to see through, but I guess I'm a little too emotional about his death to go on.

I can still pause the game and return to the breach, but this run died because of this bug sadly.

Bump, I just got this bug on v1.09 :( Lost good run on 5th floor.

I talked to him right after beating the boss and then I get a screenshot like the OP. Damn shame really since I had 5 HP and had the item that slows enemy projectiles.

Same, super frustrating, I had amazing rng that round too, early rainbow chest, DnD dice gave huge speed boost. I get that the officer is bitter about things, but come on man, learn to dodge roll instead of freezing my game.

Playing latest versionn: same here, playing as The Marine, 5th floor. Didn't realize he died at first, left the room and then noticed the NPC icon on the map. Came back and talked to him and it froze after the last part of his dialogue. Tried pressing everything I could and waiting for about 5 minutes. Still nothing. RIP my really good run!
