I am having really extreme lag spikes
I am having lag spike, sometimes down to 10 fps from 140+ frames, even on lowest settings. My rig is as follows:
Intel Core i5 3450 @ 3.10GHz
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 667MHz (9-9-9-24)
3071MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (EVGA)
Any ideas or a fix? if not how can I inform the developer as this type of lag makes the game unplayable.

ive seen the devs post in some threads here, so i assume they themselves or a community manager or relations type person browses here once in a while.

I have the same problem, although it's a screen juke/constant stuttering every other second or so. I've looked into solutions and nothing has worked, I'm fairly convinced it's a problem on the developer's end, because I've seen other complaints like ours and I've had plenty of experience dealing with performance problems with different games. Normally I'll find a workaround or a solution, but not with this game.

It's either going to be fixed in a game patch, or the developers are going to pretend they don't know anything about this or want to fix it, considering they have their money and this affects only a small number of the playerbase.

Ok that is interesting and quite informative as it means I will not try and fail in finding a fix/ workaround. I hope the Dev fixes this as I am loving my time playing the game if it wasn't for the lag.
Thanks

Seems like there is a commonality between a lot of these posts. It seems like there is some issue with windows, Nvidia 700 series cards, and this game. No idea if it is a problem with Nvidia's drivers or with the game but they do seem to be a common ground between most (not all but enough to be significant) of the people I have seen saying they are experiencing stuttering or intermittant fps issues.

Ok, I will try and update drivers etc, if that is no help I will try my old gpu. Thanks for your input

I have a GTX 970 and I've seen one or two other posts from users with the same. If I had to make a guess, I'd say it wasn't a specific nVidia series, but I have noticed it seems GTX shows up a lot.

I've been having a similar problem. Thing is, I'm running an AMD card. I run all low, and the game stutters constantly whether I'm in high or low intensity situations.

Hoping for a fix for this in 1.09 or even 1.1.

Ok that is interesting, looks like it is game optimisation problem, I hope their is a fan made fix or the developer fixes it as having a lag free experience is cruical for this game.

Sorry about this... we've been focused on the next update and upgrading a lot of systems behind the scenes, so I've been less active on the Steam forums. If you haven't already, please send a log file to our support email (more details here) from a run where you've experienced the stuttering.

Unfortunately, we're at a bit of a loss to address this problem... we have never experienced it ourselves, are unable to reproduce the issue on any machine we've tested on, and don't know what would be causing it. If you can send us a log file of the issue, there may be information contained that will help us track this down. I don't know if this is related or not, but every time we push a patch we get one or two people who contact us about a sudden change in performance, but this has always been fixed in the past by simply reinstalling the game.

I realize this isn't the most helpful answer, but we'll take a look at any logs you can provide and hopefully come up with some more data!

Ok thanks Rubel, the next time I have the stutter I will send the log file. I have tried reinstalling the game and getting no change. You are the first Dev to get back to me about a technical issue :)

Sorry about that, we're a small team and have been pretty focused on this next update. Email is usually the best place to reach us, but we try to respond on the steam/gog forums and on the Gungeon subreddit!

How do you get 140 frames?
I get 60. That's eighty frames a second less. Of course I grew up on Happy Wheels with a 30 frames per second lock, so meh

Dragomirnamehere I really don't know, I put it down to a fairly decent gaming rig, luck and using no form of vsync, for this game as for most games I use adaptive vsync to avoid screen tearing as I haven't got 120htz monitors yet.

Just to throw my name on the list as well. I have been having this issue since the last update as well. Some times it will run clean but most of the time it get the lag issues. The game starts fine, but by about the 10th room the lag hits. I have had some success by manually selecting the graphic processor. I too have a Nvidia GTX 970M. Next time it happens i will send in the logs too so hopfully yall can get it fixed. I love the game and am looking forward to the next patch!!

same here. I have a constant fps but the game massively lags too. It worked fine untill today.

Problem solved of my part. Took me a while to figure it out and it was adobe flash player that used 60% of my CPU hence the la spike when I was playing while watching/listening a stream.

I switched to chrome and game doesn't lag anymore when I watch a video.
