Glitch with the Lich.

I have the past killed for the four main characters and wanted to kill the past for the co-op character alone, what I didnt know is that the game would force me into bullet hell when I was going for the Gun that can kill the past.

That wasnt the bug I'm here to talk about though.
So I went through bullet hell and got to the Lich and killed his first phase. Now is when the bug happened, the hand grabbed me and pulled me down as the co-op character and all I could see was a black void, no character and no ground. I was only able to move up and to the left for some reason until I got stuck. I was able to teleport out though and did to get back into bullet hell, outside the boss room.
The camera was stuck in the way it was supposed to for the second phase though (the zoomed out veiw.). I went back to the boss room and nothing happened, I couldnt retry the boss, the hand didnt come back or anything.

And that was it, I sat there for maybe ten minutes without anything happening and then I just went and died beacuse there was just nothing else I could do. It took a really long time for me to get the co-op character to the Gun that can kill the past alone and I was really dissapointed when all this happened. I hope it gets fixed so I can complete the past of the co-op character.

(Quick edit: I dont know if it has anything to do with my hardware, my current computer isnt very powerful so it could be an issue with framerate or something along those lines as well. My first guess is that it was something with the co-op character not being supposed to get to the second phase alone or something but that would just seem like a sloppy overlooking of things.)

It only forces you into Bullet Hell the first time you get to the End Times after unlocking Bullet Hell... on later runs, if you want to go straight to the gun that can kill the past, you can just walk around the big portal/pit.

I'll look into the transition bug, but if you haven't already launched the game again since this happened, please send us your log file (details here), as that will help considerably to track this down. (The log file is reset each time you launch the game from Steam, which is why I mention "launching again").

Also, I hope this isn't disappointing, but the coop character's past is very different from the main characters and really requires two players. It's a neat little add on, but it's not a full boss fight like the other pasts... you're not missing much having not seen it, which is why we didn't put in any achievements or unlocks for it.

Ah well I have already launched the game again so I cant do the log thing. Thank's for the reply though and letting me know that there's no unlocks for beating his past.

Actually, i just had the same glitch but not with the cultist.
I got the 4 resourceful rat items when i killed the lich's first phase i teleported somewhere else and standing above a pit,
once lich's hand grabed me i fell to the pit and take damage when i respawned it was a black screen,
i teleported to another room but it was like he said i had a zoomed out wiew then nothing hapend.

It is probably was my fault but if it is a bug you may wanna look at it.
I'm just letting you know.

A it of forum necromancy here but haven't seen this readdressed. This seems consistent.

I just fell into the pit during phase 2 of the lich fight, just after killing him (or at least, beating that phase). I re-spawned back onto the normal platform, but with a black screen. Teleporting out into another room fixes the black, but doesn't let you re-enter the fight, softlocking the game.

It seems like a transition issue. Falling into a pit at the same time as the game tries to pull you into the next phase.
