Boss vs Player Screen Not Appearing

Whenever I enter a boss room and watch through the whole intro animation, my screen goes completely black for a few seconds before suddenly changing back to the gameplay.
The entire Player vs Boss Name screen doesn't appear at all.
I restarted the game and played to a boss and the screen turned black again. This happened with the Bullet King, Gattling Gull, the Bullet Twins, the medusa monster (I didn't see her name), and the snake (again, no name). Also this floating boss in the second floor who threw out little robots that I could not find on the Wiki (a shame I didn't get to see what it was called).
It's a bit frustrating because it makes it hard to prepare for the boss fight to actually begin.
Is there a way I can fix this? Or is this an issue that is currently being worked on?

the bosses are the gorgun the ammoconda and the fuselier. the fuselier was added in AG&D so maybe cause of that he isnt on the wiki yet. As for your intro it will probably get fixed soon enough. there are a lot of graphical issues with enemies expecially with the new wall mimic. It will probably be fixed sooner or later.

Yeah, I just found out that he might actually be optional. I once had one map with two different boss doors.

Are you on OSX by any chance? We've had some reports of these screens not showing up on Macs, but we haven't been able to determine the issue; they've always worked on our test machines. What OS version are you currently running? What resolution is the game running at?

My Mac is currently running Mac OS High Sierra, 10.13.5 (not the most current update). The game is running at 1360 x 746, not pixel perfect mode. My computer should have the qualifications to play this game properly.

Having the same issue here. Just updated my OS to this new 10.14 (Mojave) and it started happening [Before, I had the 9..(??) and it was working fine.]

p.s.: some similar issues started happening in other games as well (for instance: I can no longer see my health stats or the weapons to choose from in Half Life 2). Hate these updates...

Bump, still bugged for me. MacBook Pro 2013, most recent OSX (public beta), 1440x900 (Pixel Perfect, Monitor resolution is 2880x1800), full screen

I'm having this same problem. MacBook Pro 2017, MacOs Mojave 10.14.4, 2560x1600 resolution. Came back for the farewell to arms update but it is making me very uncomfortable.

Same issue, still happening. Macbook Pro 2019, MacOS Mojave 10.14.6, 2880 x 1800 resolution. It's not gamebreaking or anything, but it'd be cool to see the splash screens.

Bump. Having this issue among all the other osx users, at this point just going to assume it's something to do with osx that obviously won't be fixed given the time period. 2022 Macbook Pro Sonoma 14.1.1
