Local co-op not working
Hi all,

I'm having trouble getting two player local co-op working. Basically, I can only get Player One into the game, and all control inputs (both of my controllers and keyboard/mouse) control him rather than introducing a second player.

I've changed everything in the options menu so Player One is one input (e.g. keyboard/mouse) and Player Two is Controller, or so each player is a different controller, but it makes zero difference. So for example if I press left on any controller, it simply moves Player One.

This is the case regardless if I'm using Xbox One controllers or PlayStation 4 controllers (which I run using InputMapper).

How do I get Player Two into the game? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I should add that I have a press copy from Devolver.

All controls control player 1 until you enter coop. The last controller to give input controls player 1, the one with the longest time since input controls player 2 when you enter local coop. Enter local coop by talking to the guy in pink in the character select. He only shows up if you have 2 input devices connected.

Hi DecoyOctorok,

Thanks very much for the speedy reply! I'll give that a shot - not sure how I missed it the first time. All the best with the game's launch.

Cheers!

I'm also having a problem with this. I plugged in two keyboard USB things into my computer, they both control P1 and I do not see the Cultist, please help... What am I doing wrong?

So does this mean you can't plug the controllers in at the same time?
I'm having the exact same issue. Did anyone come up with a solution?

Someone on reddit did. Search the EtG reddit for it. It was a weird solution.

The co-op option doesn't seem to be explained. I had no idea i needed to talk to the cultist to enable co-op mode. ( pink guy at character select. ) this is a ridiculous way to implement 2 players. Not sure if you have to do tutorial first before co-op works either. And why would one person have to be the cultist??

So confused lol...

Because Cultist's starting equipment specifically relates to two-player mode. And there's a special ending for him too, that also relates to it being two-player.
